Allen police had accused Jeremy Alan Andrews, 41, of repeatedly punching and choking the woman at her apartment. She suffered rib fractures and multiple other injuries in the attack, which stretched over three hours, according to the Collin County district attorney’s office. A jury found Andrews, who was arrested in April 2019, guilty of family-violence assault by strangulation. He will serve a concurrent 20-year sentence for committing the crime while he had a prior conviction.
