Published July 9, 2021, 12:39 PM Davao Prison and Penal Farm Seven persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) were released last Wednesday, July 7, from the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte. In a statement, DPPF said that six of those released were freed due to merits under the law on Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA), while one had served his mandatory rehabilitation and jail term. The release of the PDLs was ordered in a memorandum issued by Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Q. Bantag, DPPF said. Those released were subjected to rapid antigen test that yielded negative results for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it said.
