The McCoart Building at the Prince William County Government Center in Woodbridge. Supervisors on Tuesday night will have the final say on a project nearly 10 years in the making. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will meet for its evening session starting at 7:30 p.m. to hear the case for a rezoning, which would clear the way the Preserve at Long Branch — 99 single-family homes to be built in a “conservation community” in the center of Prince William County, in the county’s coveted rural area. Supervisors must decide if they will approve rezoning 340 acres of land from semi-rural residential to a designation that allows for parks and open space. If built, the neighborhood is accessed by Classic Springs Way, off Bristow Road, and Classic Springs Drive, off Route 234.
