Mumbai: Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals is in talks with multiple foreign companies for potential partnerships, as it looks to hive off its key businesses into separate corporate entities, the company’s chairman said. Discussions are ongoing with large global players in all three of its key businesses — industrial chemicals, fertilisers and mining chemicals — and the nature of the partnerships is being explored, SC Mehta told ET. “We are looking at many possible relationships. They seem to be interested in India and they feel that Deepak Fertilisers could be a great platform,” Mehta said. “Everyone wants to come into India, but they find it a little complicated. So, from that viewpoint, nothing like this kind of a match.”
