(WBNG) -- Authorities say an inmate at the Broome County Correctional Facility was arrested for hiring someone to commit "multiple kidnappings and murders." In a news release, the Broome County Sheriff's Office says it charged 48-year-old Harold M. Cole with two counts of conspiracy in the second degree and two counts of conspiracy in the fourth degree. These charges are felonies. The Sheriff's Office says Cole was jailed for kidnapping and during his jail time he was charged for violating an order of protection. Cole's activity was then monitored by detectives. The Sheriff's Office says Cole is accused of hiring another person to commit murders and kidnappings following a three-month-long investigation.
