Deputies asking for help locating murder suspect See Also Suspect in custody following Michigan City homicide LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a murder suspect. Hakim Qualls, 19, is wanted for murder, attempted murder, dangerous possession of a firearm, criminal recklessness and dangerous possession of a firearm. Qualls is 5’2” tall and weighs 120 pounds. He also goes by the nickname Snook. Qualls is accused of killing 18-year-old Dareon Brown on December 18, 2018.
