their skin. they tend to wash them a little bit. so they're a little cleaner here. but everywhere, they're covered in oil. >> does the oil actually get underneath the shell? >> no, it doesn't get under the shell because the skin meets tightly. >> okay. >> it all in their mouth, in there and it's down their eso esophagus so they've ingested the oil. >> if the turtle has ingested oil, will that kill it? >> well, we didn't know when we first got them. we still really don't know, but they seem to be doing very well. most of them are responding quickly to fluid therapy. we're giving them antibiotics, vitamins and we're feeting them m mayonnaise to move that oil. >> who knew. what are you going to do now? >> this one needs a quick recheck. we're going to weigh it, check its i.d. it has a microchip in it. then it's due for an antibiotic shot. >> okay.
