heat wave out west, we just heard that report. how much do you attribute this record heat wave to climate change? >> well, the climate scientists often say that the right question to ask is how much worse is this because of the climate crisis? and of course, the answer is, you know, 19 of the 20 hottest years ever measured have been in the last 20 years, last year was the hottest of all, the last seven have been the hottest of all. this is -- this is heating up our world in an enormous way and it's not only the pacific northwest, pamela. you know, the projected temperature tomorrow in portland is projected to shatter their all-time heat record by four de degrees. but look at the southwest. they are in a 20-year drought directly connected to the climate crisis. the water levels are at an all-time low.
