it's really really difficult. you've got to admit that federal lands have totally shut down where we have a lot of oil and potential to help our country with these difficulties. there is no oil program in this administration. they don't seem to understand where it comes from. they don't seem to understand how to get it. they don't seem to understand that it costs money. they don't seem to understand we have the capacity of doing much better in developing our own oil and especially natural gas. we're awash in natural gas and i don't see any drive to turn the heavy duty trucks into natural gas vehicles. >> senator, shouldn't oil companies have to use the permits they already have before opening up offshore opening up anwar, opening up other areas for exploration? >> sure. but it takes time to explore, it takes time to analyze, it takes time to do the total annualization of those type of
