Saxton Borough Council Monday evening listened to a proposal for the possible development of a 22.3-acre parcel of land owned by the borough across from the gLeaf Medical Cannabis plant along Liberty Street. Saxton native and now Liberty Township resident Dawn (OâNeal) Chamberlain told council she and her husband are landlords owning several borough properties. She said they âflipâ houses or purchase and renovate them and put them back on the tax roll. Chamberlain said she and her husband would have liked to create a multi-million dollar development on a 10.7-acre parcel of land they owned, but realized it was too small to carry out their idea. The only other parcel of land large enough to fulfill their idea is the property owned by the borough.
