Dharmendra Pradhan urges Odisha CM to bring four more iconic temples under legislative guidelines

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan has requested Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik to bring 4 more iconic temples of the state under legislative guidelines, similar to the Shri Jagannath Temple Act 1955 and Shri Lingaraj Temple Ordinance 2020.
A day after the state cabinet cleared the Shri Lingaraj Temple Ordinance 2020 on Monday, the Union Minister, in his letter to the Chief Minister Mr. Patnaik today has suggested that similar legislation may be enacted for Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur, Maa Samaleswari Temple in Sambalpur, Maa Tara Tarini Temple in Ganjam and Shri Nilamadhav Temple in Nayagarh Detailing the immense religious significance of these temples for the people of the state, the Union Minister has said that such legal provisions will ensure high standard of management accountability and safeguard the long-term interests of the temples while ensuring better facilities to devotees and visitors.
