Hi YC Fam! We're hiring a Principal Engineer/Tech Lead. DigiBuild makes construction software that helps commercial builders automate processes and reduce their risk on construction projects; we create a Common Data Environment for customers that can save them up to 5% throughout the lifecycle of their assets.
Our tools improve workflows like procurement, payments, and contract administration. Construction is a 10T industry and accounts for 13% of global GDP. But it is 10 years behind other markets as far as digitization goes so there is a massive opportunity here.
We're solving a unique engineering problem by building software for multiple construction stakeholders who don't trust one another but need to send important data and workflows back and forth frequently on their projects.
SaaS model. We're looking for a senior-level Principal Engineer/Tech Lead with experience in Node.js, React, and SQL to drive rapid buildout of new products and help take the company to the next level.
Tasks and Deliverables:
Fill in and propose requirements and designs with guidance from product management
Rapidly build out prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations
Play a key role in code reviews and the code quality process
Take ownership of their components and features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment and operational support
Mentor junior team members
Deep experience with the following is a must:
Backend REST and/or GraphQL development with Node.js
SQL
AWS
React.js
Experience with the following is helpful:
GraphQL
Postgres
Distributed Ledger frameworks, especially Hyperledger and Corda
