THE digitalisation of health and care services have left some patients feeling excluded throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Healthwatch Swindon asked people to take its Covid-19 survey from April to July 2020 to find out about the challenges patients were experiencing while trying to access health and social care. While many respondents acknowledged the advantages of having telephone and video consultations, other found it difficult. The report reads: “We know from some of the feedback contained within the reports, as well as from other work we have carried out this year that people are digitally excluded. “Whilst there have been huge benefits to the rapid implementation of digital appointments these are problematic for a significant minority of people.
