Singh criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for engaging in "fake works." The letter claimed that Singh was unhappy with the party's leadership and its selection of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections. The Congress unit of the state has filed a complaint against a BJP spokesperson for allegedly forging Singh's signature and letterhead.
