A dive team was called to the area near Hamden Street around 8:48 p.m., according to initial dispatch reports. Divers reported they located the vehicle in the water around 10 p.m., and no one was inside, but the driver’s side window was rolled down, according to dispatch reports. Crews are continuing their search. Waterbury police spokesman Sgt. Robert Davis said the call came in as the vehicle went under the waters of Lakewood Lake.
