10 years ago Hey, I lived in Mexico for 10 years and I am well aware of the dangers and what is happening. I am strictly talking about people who have never been out of the States and that rely strictly on news casts and travel.gov. Here is one of the MANY new casts that warning about travel to Mexico. I am traveling to Cancun at the end of the month, my mother is going to Morelia next week so yeah everyone knows the dangers. In this news cast please notice the warning " Earlier this month, the Texas Department of Public Safety put out the same message. The agency said drug cartel violence is the worst in northern Mexico, but there are problems in other parts as well, including popular resort areas like Cancun and Acapulco."
