DOVER City council will be issuing subpoenas for copies of a large number of documents as part of its investigation into the conduct of Mayor Richard Homrighausen, including emails he sent to his wife, Linda, and his sons Nicholas and Peter. The action was taken Monday during a meeting of council's committee of the whole. Meanwhile, Homrighausen has retained the Columbus law firm of Zashin & Rich to serve as his personal legal advisers. The law firm sent a letter to Council President Shane Gunnoe on Monday requesting that council not proceed with the investigation, saying council has no legal authority to do so.
