Background: The Norwegian Association of Disabled (NAD), founded in 1931, is a Disabled Persons’ Organisation (DPO) that has been actively engaging in international development since 1981. NAD’s principal task is to fight all types of barriers that prevent women, men, girls, and boys with disabilities from being active participants as well as contributors in their communities. NAD is now looking to engage an experienced consultant to provide support to its Together for Inclusion programme in Somalia. It is expected that the consultant will be working remotely. Together for Inclusion (TOFI) is a consortium of Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs) and International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGOS) led by the Atlas Alliance, a Norwegian umbrella organisation for DPOs working internationally. It will be implemented in six countries (Somalia, Uganda, Mozambique, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Niger) in the period 2020-2022. The consortium of DPOs and INGOs focuses on strengthening the rights of persons with disabilities within three thematic areas: Human Rights Advocacy, Inclusive Education and Economic Empowerment.
