Skipton Law Courts A DRIVER made the mistake of thinking the drugs he had taken would be out of his system before getting behind the wheel, heard Skipton Magistrates Court. Paul Gamble, 48, who admitted two counts of drugs driving, was banned for three years after the court heard he had a previous drink driving conviction within 10 years. Gamble was stopped by police on Keighley Road, Skipton on August 10, the court heard on Friday. He tested positive at the roadside and was taken to the police station for a blood test that revealed he had 32 microgrammes of cocaine in one litre of blood, the specified limit is 10, and 200 microgrammes of benzoylecgonine, a by-product of cocaine. The specified limit is 50.
