Chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena has directed officials to use drone technology to study forest cover in the state. The officials discussed various activities carried out in the state, including compensatory afforestation, wildlife management, plantation, bamboo regeneration, forest protection, and forest fire prevention. The cumulative outlay for the next three years is Rs 3,230.32 crore, with a proposed outlay of Rs 1,044.47 crore for the next year's activities. The proposed area for compensatory afforestation in the next year is 7,174.203 hectares. CAMPA is also working on a sustainability plan for the maintenance of the plantation for the next 10 years.
