With the construction of this elevated expressway, 50%-60% traffic on NH-8 is expected to be reduced. The project is also likely to offer nearly 50 thousand direct or indirect job opportunities. 
Dwarka Expressway, India's first elevated Urban Expressway, to be completed before Independence Day next year 
New Delhi: Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Friday that he is hopeful that the construction work on Rs 8,662-crore Dwarka Expressway will be completed before 15 August 2022. The 29-km expressway, which connects Dwarka in Delhi to Gurugram, is being constructed under the Bharatmala Project. Gadkari said it will be the first-ever elevated Urban Expressway in India.
