DWI case against Brian Kolb brings expert witnesses offering

VICTOR — Proceedings in a driving while intoxicated case against former Assemblyman Brian Kolb continued Thursday in Victor Town Court, with plans for a possible verdict on the morning of July 15 — after Judge James Mulley of Penfield Town Court has had time to review motions, memos from the prosecution and defense in addition to all relevant evidence.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the prosecution called three expert witnesses who provided testimony, before getting cross-examined by Kolb's defense attorney Christopher Schiano. Schiano attempted to cast doubt on the procedures for maintaining and servicing the DataMaster DMT breathalyzer with the first witness Steve Carluccio, supervisor for New York's Highway Safety Technology Unit's Equipment Repair division.
