Job Summary Overview:
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible acquisitions and procurement of merchandise for the company. The successful candidate will be the assigned point of contact for business leaders, while assuming accountability for department goals. This individual is responsible for purchasing in accordance with company strategies, brand growth, and financial strategic plans. As a valued member of our team, the Purchasing Manager will negotiate with vendors/clients for the purchase of all merchandise, supplies, equipment and services used by the company s shipping teams. This candidate will manage all purchasing activities and establishes strategic purchasing processes and procedures while maintaining relationships with vendors or suppliers to negotiate contracts for major purchases. This candidate will also evaluate and analyze purchasing and price trend to identify forecasting demand and minimize purchasing costs. They will manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets set forth by upper management.
