Noida: A 50-year old man was allegedly killed by an unknown bike-borne assailant in Ghaziabad’s Muradnagar on Friday in broad daylight, police said. The incident happened when the victim, Aas Mohammad, an e-rickshaw driver, was waiting for passengers at Eidgah road — 500 metres away from his home. The area is a stand for e-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws and bustling with commuters. It is also surrounded by houses and local shops. However, at the time of the murder, no one tried to save the victim as they were “scared” due to a heated argument and the resultant crime, an officer said. He said an eyewitness told the police that the accused was “angry”. They said the accused kept stabbing Mohammad till he died on the spot and continued with his attacks even after that.
