Early spring resulting in additional challenges to fix PG potholes SHARE ON: Spring is here in Prince George and that means potholes need to be patched. (Photo supplied Carol Gass, Vista Radio staff) Last year, the city fixed 4,366 potholes and received nearly 1450 service requests. Acting Manager of Roads and Fleet, Jordan Wiseman spoke with MyPGNow.com. “It certainly creates a perfect storm in relation to potholes. I know at this point in we have filled 177 potholes as of Friday afternoon with service requests coming in.” Wiseman admits the early start to the spring season presents some additional challenges. “The freeze-thaw doesn’t help at all and the standing water inside the pothole also creates a bit of a headache as you can imagine trying to remove the water to properly prep the whole with the mix can be tough this time of year.”
