Eastern Civic Amenity Site closed due to full skips Tue, 06 Apr 2021 The Eastern Civic Amenity Site has been closed this afternoon. Douglas Borough Council say it's due to the high volume of material that has been deposited. The waste skips on site are now completely full and they have had to close the site to the public as they cannot accept any new material. A spokesperson said: "These skips should be emptied and made available tomorrow, and we are looking to re-open the site from 10.00 am, Wednesday".
