East Alton-Wood River Community High School will see in-person learning increased to four days a week, starting Tuesday. Mondays will still be a remote-learning day, but students will return to campus Tuesdays through Fridays beginning at 8am March 16. Like many other schools, EA/WR has executed a blend of in class instruction for their classes and some online requirements to finish at home. Since last August. EA/WR Superintendent Dr. John Pearson tells the Big Z what a typical school day will look like. Click here for Pearson's comments There will still be safety precautions in effect. Everyone in the building will be asked to keep a 6-foot distance when possible, and all students and staff will need to self-certify their health upon entering. Temperature checks will go from being mandatory to optional. There will still be an option for those not comfortable returning to class to continue remote learning.
