Stats SA released its Quarterly Labour Force Survey for the second quarter of 2021 a few weeks ago, showing the shocking but not unexpected high rate of unemployment in our country. Unemployment is now at 34.4%, which translates to seven million South Africans who are jobless, according to the official definition.
