Editorial NPP, NDC must do introspections and not blame game Though the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is threatening legal action over the conduct of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections, it is an undeniable fact that the polls are officially over. What the political parties need to do now are introspections to find out what went wrong and what should be done to remedy the situation. The New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the Electoral Commission (EC) has officially announced, is the winner of both polls. But when it comes to the parliamentary election, we can extrapolate that the opposition NDC is the ‘winner’. The umbrella party came from behind to snatch over 30 seats from the ruling the party. Whilst the NDC has the duty to find out why the party lost the presidential election, the heavy defeat in the parliamentary election is a serious issue that must attract the attention of the various constituency executives of the NPP as well.
