Fargo, ND, USA / 740 The FAN Mar 4, 2021 12:41 PM FARGO (KFGO) – Cass County Emergency Services is issuing an apology for a false public warning system test received by thousands of Fargo-Moorhead area residents. It was sent to phones and by text message at about 11:54 p.m. Wed. from Red River Regional Dispatch. Asst. Emergency Manager Amanda Johnson says the message was supposed to be an internal test only but went out live. The alert went to more than 7,600 residents in Cass and Clay Counties before the mistake was realized and stopped. Had the error not been discovered, 55,766 residents who subscribe to Cass-Clay Alert would have received the message.
