MY EDMONDS NEWS Posted: February 8, 2021 359 With cold weather forecasted this week, the South Snohomish County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter will be open Monday, Feb. 8. for anyone needing overnight sheltering. The shelter may also be open other nights this week, depending on the whether temperatures reach freezing. “We are taking it day by day,” said shelter volunteer board chair Lisa Utter. The shelter opens at 7:15 p.m. at Maple Park Church (60th Avenue West and 176th Street Southwest, Lynnwood). Those not driving should use the van transportation; do not walk to the shelter. Shelter-goers are allowed to drive their own vehicles to the site, the shelter’s no-walk-ups rule is still in effect.
