In April 2020, Emma reflected on her endo journey and recovery. 'I realised that it is two years since my endometriosis surgery and I would like to thank all the women who have connected and shared their stories and advice with me over these last two years,' she wrote at the time. 'It sounds like a lot – once you’re onstage and in the first kind of five minutes, the energy from the audience is so joyous that you kind of forget about yourself,' she said 'A special thank you to the health professionals who guided me through, Dr Jason Abbott, Leah Hechtman, Mark and Julie Uren, Ruth Schubert and Anthea Doropoulos.
