An Independent candidate, Mr. Eric Williams II, has put himself in the race for mayor in the March 16 election. Williams stated his choice for running as an Independent was to be for all of the people. It is not about the politics; it is about the people, he said. Wayland Mayor Michael Parks is currently holding the office and plans to run for a third term on the Democratic line.
