Estonia and Norway hold a virtual business forum 11. December 2020 - 17:44 Today, a high-level virtual visit was held between Estonia and Norway, with a business delegation also participating. Both Estonia and Norway were represented by foreign ministers, as well as Estonia’s Ambassador at Large for Climate and Energy Kaja Tael and Magnar Ødelien, the Programme Director of EEA Norway Grants at Innovation Norway. The visit included 36 bilateral meetings between companies and between countries and companies. Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said the central topics of the virtual visit – smart mobility and green technologies – were extremely important in light of the coronavirus pandemic. “The global situation allows us to make greener choices when recovering from the impact of the coronavirus, and countries must lead the way; however, the private sector is a crucial partner in implementing these changes. Green transformation is not important only from the perspective of sustainability, it is a growth strategy that holds substantial benefits for countries and companies,” Reinsalu said.
