EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run last weekend.
Dylan Birdwell, 21, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center under a charge for voluntary manslaughter. The hit and run was preceded by a physical fight between Birdwell and Patrick Levell Adams in the 1300 block of Florence Street around 3 a.m. Saturday.
According to a news release issued Monday afternoon by the Evansville Police Department, several witnesses told officers Birdwell and Adams had gotten into a fight, after which Adams left the scene. Around 3:15 a.m., Adams returned, and Birdwell got in his vehicle to leave. Adams then threw an object at another car that was being driven by a family member of Birdwell, police said.
