Owner says he thought event was canceled By Dan Schere | February 10, 2021 | 11:01 am An event hall in Burtonsville was cited after Montgomery County officials found people inside without masks over the weekend in what appeared to be a social event. The county visited The Viking Center at 15212 Dino Drive — a multipurpose event space that people can rent for parties — on Saturday. Someone complained that a party and concert with more than 500 people was planned that day, according to the inspection report. The report says an inspector from the county’s Alcohol Beverage Services department and seven county police officers went to The Viking Center and found multiple people without face coverings. Those people without masks were asked to leave, the report states.
