The extension is part of measures to help those in rented accommodation and rough sleepers Backed by an additional £10 million in funding, all councils in England are being asked to redouble their efforts to help accommodate all those currently sleeping rough and ensure they are swiftly registered with a GP, where they are not already. Cllr Adele Warren, Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for homelessness, said: “This is welcome news and will help support struggling families and tenants in private rented and social housing accommodation. “We also want to remind people that the council is here to help – please don’t struggle in silence.
