Ex-civil servant charged with bribery in Ipoh Sessions Court


Selamat Mulyono Juni being led out of court after he was charged for soliciting and receiving a bribe.
IPOH: A former civil servant has claimed trial at a Sessions Court here for soliciting and receiving a bribe amounting to RM1,500.
Selamat Mulyono Juni, 37, a former administration officer at the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) in Penang, pleaded not guilty to the charges before judge S. Indra Nehru.
According to the first charge in the charge sheet, Selamat had asked one Shafrullah Abu Kasim for RM6,000 to dispose of a photograph, which was evidence in connection with a company selling palm oil, which licence from MPOB had expired.
