EXCITEMENT: Headteacher of the school Kevin McGoldrick WORK has started on a new school building that will act as space for special needs education among other uses. Construction of the new building at St Pius X Catholic Primary School in Barrow started on Saturday after plans were given the green light. The new building will act as a space for individual pupils with special educational needs and disabilities as well as groups. It will also be used to for St Pius's breakfast club and after school club so the school hall can be used for extra curricular activities including football and gymnastics.
