The grassy arena at the Teton County Fairgrounds will close for two weeks beginning Wednesday in preparation for the 65th annual Teton County Fair. Fairgrounds staff will begin fencing off the arena on Wednesday to keep animals off the grass in the lead-up to the fair's opening on July 23, according to Teton County Public Information Specialist Kristen Waters. Public health measures preclude animals going into the grassy arena prior to an event where food will be served, Waters said. The fair runs through Aug. 1, and includes the Frazier Shows Carnival, night events in the Rodeo Arena, 4-H static and livestock exhibits, the Open Class Horse Show and various vendors, among other activities.
