VADODARA/ ANAND: Anand police seized fake currency notes with face value of Rs 1.28 lakh from a man on Wednesday. Based on a tip-off, cops arrested Jignesh Patel when he was travelling to Anand Gunj Bazaar and recovered 228 notes of Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 denomination from him. Patel,46, is a resident of Sardar Chowk area of Ode village. After nabbing Patel, cops also searched his house from where they recovered a colour printer and A-4 size papers which the accused used for printing the counterfeit notes. Patel has also confessed to the police of printing and circulating the fake notes, especially to senior citizens who run small-time grocery and other shops in the market.
