Fall River Repeat Domestic Abuser Sentenced to Prison FALL RIVER — A 38-year-old Fall River man who violently assaulted his girlfriend on a public street last April was sentenced last week to serve four-and-a-half to six years in state prison, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced. Kevin Gray, Jr. pleaded guilty in Fall River Superior Court to indictments charging him with assault and battery on a family or household member - subsequent offense, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. On April 29, 2020 at around 1:30 p.m., Gray was walking with his girlfriend. Gray and his girlfriend then got into a verbal argument outside of Jay’s Liquor Store; within moments, Gray grabbed her head and slammed it into a brick wall. The victim lost consciousness and was found by first responders to be bleeding profusely from her head. She required 10 sutures to close the wound.
