Family displaced after Rutherford County house fire Rutherford Co. Fire and last updated 2021-01-16 15:28:00-05 RUTHERFORD CO., Tenn. (WTVF) â A family of six is currently displaced after a house fire in the Murfreesboro area Friday night. Rutherford County Fire Rescue, along with crews from the Sheriff's Office, Emergency Medical Services and Almaville Fire Department, responded to Valley Bend Road around 10:30 p.m. They were able to extinguish the fire, though extensive damage had already been done. Assistant Fire Marshal Joshua Sanders says the fire appears to be accidental. Four of the six residents were home when the fire started. They sustained minor injuries, including some smoke inhalation and singed hair.
