The move was taken by the protesting farmers following a late-night meeting with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. The road was blocked for around two weeks since December 1. The farmers occupied the spot for their sit-in protest against the Centre's farm laws. After the spot was vacated, normal traffic resumed in the Noida-Delhi via Chilla border. The officials said that the traffic movement via Kalindi Kunj and DND routes were also normal.
