WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) â One person is dead after an incident involving a train on Monday afternoon. According to a press release from Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, officers were dispatched to Chase St. at Riverview Expressway at 4 p.m. on April 12th. The officers were dispatched for reports of an incident where a pedestrian had walked into a train. Upon investigation at the scene, Wisconsin Rapids Police Officers found a man who was deceased. They were also helped at the scene by Wisconsin Rapids EMS, the Wood County Coronerâs Office, and Candian National Railway. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Canadian National Railroad Police who have jurisdiction over the incident. No further information is being released at this time.
