Lou donald trump is driving them crazy as well as getting stronger in the polls. I mean i guess i see it im so cynical, i see it as much more tactical than that. I think they love what donald trump is doing, because what hes doing is ostensibly the optics are its oppositional, what hes doing is locking in the extremist right wing to, in the primaries, which no one has to be committed to for the general, and i think brad said something really smart that one of the candidates was running for Vice President , and i think we will see trump running for Vice President. It would be a magical, in a scary way, mix. [ laughter ] youre coming from the left here, you say thats scary. The republicans are saying, give us Something Else like this to be afraid of. I mean, the reaction here is its absolutely visceral on the part of the voters supporting him, dont you think, brad . I think so, and listen, lou, weve talked about this before, i love having trump in this. Its drawing attention to the republican platform. It is forcing career politicians to hone their message and be more populist. Theres a reason to love trump, and hes the spear catcher. If trump wasnt in the race, the leftist media will be all over the other contenders. Bring it on keep going, donald. Once again, were agreeing, brad, its tactical. Lou tactical, or strategic or Something Else, like sincere, and like you, im not cynical, but i am skeptical. The fact of the matter is that the republicans are drawing a lot of media attention, and not all of it is, as you suggest, negative toward this vast field of candidates. I love the fact that the New York Times calls this a crowded field. Its a huge field. And i have to tell you i think that the left, if theyre smart, and they are, have got to be very concerned about this cast of candidates. Because, brad, well, you support governor rick perry. I cant tell you the number of people in new york, its not the natural base, if you will for rick perry. Theyre saying this guy is far more impressive than i expected. The fact that they havent met him until recently, or his experience in 2012. Absolutely. Hes a different man. You couldnt have been governor of texas for as long as he was and to have created the prosperity in texas that he did, if he was that man in the debates last time around. And for those of your viewers who saw him on the five a couple of days ago, he blew people away. I keep saying. That i stood on the stage with governor perry when he announced outside dallas, and i tell people make governor perry earn your vote. Look at him and make him earn it. Great field of republicans, a lot of great talent there, and this is exciting for us, and i think it was camille in salon. Com doesnt think hillary is going to make it and its going to be sanders and joe biden and Martin Omalley for the nomination. Lou whether it is rick perry, whether it is donald trump, whether it is ted cruz, some issues are driving the republican energy, and that is planned parenthood. We now are looking at the reality because of a group of people who have gone undercover, put out these videos. Some of which have been joined by a federal court. The issue of abortion is front and center in this campaign. 57 million abortions since roe v. Wade. Right. Lou and now we find out planned parenthood is selling fetal body parts and claiming at the same time theres nothing wrong with that . I mean, id have to see your sourcing for the claim that theyre selling fetal body parts. Look, i just hate these issues when theyre trotted out. The fact is that issues that are divisive like immigration, calling slurs against ethnic minorities, issues like abortion, issues like homosexuality, cultural issues only get brought into to distract and divide and whip people up during the primaries and general election. Then its back to the oligarchs at work for the rest of the years given the administrations in power. I think its a distraction, i think its a wedge issue. Lou not to be taken seriously .
