Charles british lawmakers voting just moments on the fate of the uk and e. U. Ashley webster in the thick of it with london. Go to it now, ashley . Hey, charles i hope your eyes wont glaze over too much. It is pretty simple. Coming up in the next several minutes the mps vote on withdrawal bill, Boris Johnsons plan with all the nuts and bolts in there, explaining exactly what his bill would do. It is 115 pages long. That will probably wont make it through, with brexit you never know. The second vote, half past 7 00, local time, 2 30 eastern. They will vote on timetable. They set three days to debate and decide on it on thursday. Opposition lawmakers three days for this massive bill is just not long enough. If they vote down that timetable, and the eu at the same time, says clearly you cant get your act together, well extend the deadline again, dont forget Boris Johnson sent them that letter even though he didnt sign it it, doesnt matter if all that happens, Boris Johnson said i will pull the bill. Throw the in the towel, call for general election. A lot could be decided on future of Boris Johnsons deal. Lets go to the october 31st deadline coming more and more unlikely. You never know. Were keeping eye on it for you, charles. Well let you know as soon as we get results of these votes. Charles Ashley Webster, to discuss ramifications of the vote, Nile Gardiner of heritage foundation. I watched all the events saturday. I was fascinated how it went down. Boris johnson feels defiant yet might be slipping away from him . Yes, charles, the events of the last two days have been very unfortunate. They have certainly damaged the governments plans to withdraw from the European Union on october 31st. There is still a chance that britain can leave the eu it hinges on series of votes today, throughout the course of the week. The key vote of course as Ashley Webster mentioned earlier is the vote on parliamentary timetable. The government has to win that vote in order for the whole of the brexit legislation to be voted on during the course of this week. Certainly i think, you know the fate of brexit happening on october 31st is on the precipice. Prime minister has done all he can to move forward with brexit. Parliament has stood in the way. Large majority of mps are antibrexit. They are remainers. They are people who have consistently tried to undermine the will of the british people. This is battle really between the british people now and parliament. Lets see who prevails. Fortunately we do have a Prime Minister who is a very strong, powerful brexiteer, churchillian figure. Parliament has succeeded winning all the key votes up till now. Lets see what happens today. You about i have to say the governments position at the moment with regard to brexit looks a little bit on the precarious side. Charles real quick, nile, if indeed there will have to be a second vote on this, ive seen several Public Opinion polls, feels like majority of folks there arent necessarily sure. I dont, even though there was a large protest on saturday, there was a large process that want to revert the prior vote. There has to be fatigue setting in. Could drag no matter out come of next vote two or three years . British people are fed up with attempts by parliament to block brexit. 17. 4 million britons voted for them to leave the eu in 2016. More than 100,000 or so people took to the streets against brexit last saturday. Opinion polls show, a clear majority of britains Want Parliament to move forward with brexit. They have had enough of all of the, all the delay, the smoke and mirrors here. They simply Want Parliament to move forward, implement what the british people have voted for. And, i think this is a real, you know this, is historic moment for great britain. In a weeks time britain could leave the European Union after several decades of membership. This is, this would be a great moment in terms of british sovereignty, selfdetermination, freedom, and liberty. A lot is at stake here at the moment. Charles Nodeal Brexit, whether october 31st or whatever the new deadline could be, because, you know, im losing track of all the different deadlines, that still possibly on the table . Yeah. Its a possibility because the European Union could decide against an extension. Eu is likely i think to decide on some kind of an extension but there are some signals being sent by the french, that france could potentially veto an extension. The French Foreign minister today told french members of parliament that the french government is absolutely against any kind of extension. So it remains to be seen what happens here. Emmanuel macron has a difficult relationship, ashley with german chancellor angela merkel. Macron could veto an extension. French are growing fed up with what is happening in london. French want britain outside the eu the french could potentially force a Nodeal Brexit by would the best scenario if indeed parliament decides to scuttle the brexit deal negotiated between Boris Johnsons government and the European Union. Charles well know a whole lot more during this hour. Thank you for chiming in on this. We lean on you. Thank you, charles. Back in the states, the dow and s p gaining traction but two momentum darlings, facebook and netflix keeping nasdaq in the red for now. Strong earnings out of proctor gamble, united technologies. Increased competition. Even though the u. S. Samestore sales were higher not as high as wall street wanted to see. Want to bring in bmo capital strategist, brian belski and bellpointe strategist, david nelson. Let me start with you. So far earnings season is better than expected. The market is moving higher. Not bolting out of the gate. Feel it chipping away. Where do you think we go . Were in gyrating on 3,000. If we do this rest of the year. There is still a lot of unknown with respect to what will happen with tariffs. Clearly, with respect to brexit i think people are making a little bit too much of a big deal of it from a fundamental perspective. It is still more from a psychological perspective. In terms of the u. S. , we still think the u. S. Is a home for assets from around the world. We still think volatility will rein supreme in europe and emerging markets. Buy bonds, canadian stocks, north america could be a home for stability but so why are we going to gyrate . Because i think the markets run up and we need to kind of transition what 2020 looks like. I think investors dont want to get ahead of tear skis too much. Charles i like that you anticipated my next question. Gyrating at double top. Typically we dont stay at double tops long. Weve been here before. Charles weve been here before. The market will decide quickly whether weigh break out or pull back. I dont know whether well get to the double top i dont know s p is one that does it. Charles what about to brians point, combination of earnings and better news on the trade front . Better news on trade front would push us higher. We pushed multiple expansion for most of the year. That is all weve gotten, estimates are coming down for a year. We need something more at this point. The market is telling us, were rotating from one sector to the next. Weve seen a big move between growth and value back and forth last couple months. Tells you investors are confuse. Charles except value got hit big today. Some. Charles value winner today, despite kimberly clark. Kimberly clark is not value. Charles it has run too much. Consumer staples charles no longer safe haven. No longer safe haven. Technology and Communications Services have more earnings than staples. Proctor gamble did a great job what they have done with restructuring. Were not using these types of companies for a nondiscretionary consumption anymore, charles. Our nondiscretionary consumption into the iphone. Communications services and tech stocks. Charles talk about communication services. I know you like that group. It is the worst performer today. Today. Charles weighed down by facebook which has 47 attorney generals looking into them among all the other problems they have. Netflix, verizon cut a deal with disney, disney plus, will give them a year. I dont know who pays for it but the customer doesnt pay for it. Maybe you see value there but it is also the most volatile sector right now. Again Communications Services has wonderful theme of content and cash. I think the theme for Communications Services is cannibalization. You are wrong to be too bearish on facebook with respect happening in the government all year long. Anytime the government gets involved in companies i start to worry a little bit. On the netflix side, verizon had to do something. At t with their content. There is more than verizon at this point. This is a Business Model problem. They have competition for the first time. This company is valued as though competition would never take place. Suddenly everybody is coming out of the woodwork with a better widget. Charles pulte home, another good number. Housing is phenomenal. Construction index up 50 . No one predicted that. Sherwinwilliams up, old boring names our audience knows. Someone in our audience will probably paint a barn or something, with sherwinwilliams paint. They know proctor gamble. They will brush their teeth with it this morning. Probably live in pulte home. We cant deny the elephant in the room, charles. The rate is where it is, multiples are higher. That is big part of the story. Charles were flattish rest of the year unless something happens. Were stepping over a lower bar. That is what were getting. We have pretty easy comes next year. People are discounting with that. Charles love having these conversations brian and david. If you listen to democratic frontrunners were hanging on by a thread. How would warren and sanders plans help our economy . We have president ial hopeful john delaney will weigh in next. Later in the show, Hillary Clinton receiving criticism from both sides of the aisle after she suggested Tulsi Gabbard is a russian asset. Is all the noise paving the way for hillary to jump back in the race . We have the best economy. We have the best unemployment numbers. Best employment numbers, we have the best of everything. We rebuilt the military. With all of the things weve done, regulation cuts, biggest tax cut in history. So many things are, our energy were Energy Independent now. Charles president touting a roaring economy talking to fox newss sean hannity. If you look at president ial front runners this, economy is full of misery on the verge of recession. Joining me former maryland congressman john delaney. Thanks for having me. Charles start going on what is in the in your party. The race is going a little bickering, sides are being chosen. Comment from Hillary Clinton against Tulsi Gabbard, aoc going after buttigieg. Do you feel like this is a good for the party . Is this the kind of Due Diligence that we need as voters . No, i dont think it is good for the party. I think what the party needs to do is focus on things that improve peoples lives. You know the kind of things that affect the American People at their kitchen table, in their pocketbooks. Things like infrastructure, broadening the earned income tax credit, creating incentives for companies to be started in every Community Around this country. I recently launched something, the heartland startup tour. Which focuses entrepeneur on theship in Rural America, so many small towns are shrinking and aging. We need incentives for people to start businesses in the communities. This is the things we need to focus on. If we beat donald trump in 2020, we have to capture the center. Capture the center generally described dont care too much about the partisan bickering, you capture the Center Running on issues that matter to them. Neil charles when Elizabeth Warren says she will ban fracking on day one as president. Wall street journal had analysts looking at this. It would be a disaster. Gas prices going through the roof. Struggling americans are hit the hardest. That is a growing part of the platform for your party. How do you explain that . What i say we have to tell the American People the truth. The truth Climate Change is a huge issue. We have to get to net zero by 2050. But if we ban fracking the day after the election that will hurt the country. It will be a setback. What will happen is, more people will use coal which will actually make our fight against climate worse. So you know, i think what has been missing so much from politics from a long time, from this cycle in particular, someone who is willing to tell the truth. Climate change is a huge issue. We have to solve it globally. We have to get to net cerio by 2050. At the end of the way to do that through innovation, investing in storage, transmission, changing incentives with things like Carbon Pricing an dividend structures. Charles right. Calling to ban fracking will be a setback in Climate Change. What will happen is, a bunch of coal that weve started to wean off will turn back on. So that is not helping anyone. Charles when i listen to you, you have a lot of progrowth, pull yourself up bootstrap ideas to be quite honest with you, even when president obama was in office he suggested that not all americans had the bootstraps to pull. You know it seems like hey, if we give americans an opportunity, they can do this themselves. I dont see how it jibes with your party anymore. I know youre a democrat. It just feels, i think it is refreshing but feels out of place within the new Democratic Party . I think, i think it works with the party. Listen, i was the, my dad was a construction worker, right . You know i was first in the family to go to college. Started two businesses. Youngest ceo in the history of the New York Stock Exchange and served my country. These stories in fact tougher. I think that is what president obama is getting at. If you grew up in small town in Rural America these days, no one is investing in your town, it become as little hard to pull yourself up by the bootstraps unless you move, right . Cost of your education is so high, you cant afford it. Charles right. It is pretty hard to pull yourself up. I think i grew up at a time where this was, country was more interested in supporting people in pursuing their dreams, recognizing they have to work hard, you know, they have to play by the rules and that is kind of the american way. So what i would like to do as president , create an environment where more people have that shot because i think, i believe so much in the American People. I think if theyre just given a fair shot, they will make something out of it. Charles congressman, thank you very much. Im glad youre still in the race. I appreciate you coming on the show. Thanks for having me. Charles breaking right now, folks, more charges being filed in the College Admissions scandal. Some of them actually against Actress Lori Loughlin and her husband. Charles school age kids, high schoolkids, big thing is fishing, going through the medicine cabinet, taking a bunch of pills, popping them, experimenting with them. This is part of multilayered epidemic seizing our country. Thats right. That is why take back day is so important. They dont think about the medicines in the medicine cabinet. Children, friends and family might access them. If youre not using them. , if theyre expired, bring them in on saturday, they will be securely, anonymously disposed of. Charles i heard you collected 12 Million Pounds of drugs, 5900 tons, Prescription Drugs. While it sounds like something people may say, it has been effective, hasnt it . It absolutely has been effective. Couple with other things epa is doing, reduced manufacturers quotas for drugs. 2020 it will be cut by 53 . We worked with physicians to reduce the oversubscribing problem. That has been reduced 30 . When you put it together, it makes a big difference. Those drugs are not just available for people. Charles how concerned are you getting set meant in the Opioid Crisis that money will be actually used to curb, to curb, not just the crisis but also prevent future you worry when billions come into these covers that misused . I cant comment on ongoing litigation but i will say this, im hopeful that everyone can use all the resources they have to help attack the opioid government. It is not just a government problem, Everybody Needs to be involved. Charles you could argue it is biggest crisis in it country . It is killing tens of thousands of americans every year. It has a huge Economic Cost to our society. We all have vested interest in aggressively attack the problem. Thank you very much. Really appreciate it and good stuff youre doing. Thank you, charles. People can disagree on issues, it is outrageous to suggest to anyone that tulsi is a foreign asset. Hillary clinton is just as lightning rod for Democratic Party as she always has been. Many are wondering what kind of shadow she has over the candidates as we head into 2020. Liberal commentator Danielle Mclaughlin and gianno caldwell. Hillary was your candidate. It is time to move aside. Words matter, words matter and Hillary Clinton was wrong getting ahead of her skis or over her skis talk about Tulsi Gabbard this way. It is quantifiable, russian state media and trolled others and elevated gabbards campaign, but not a reason to use this kind of a smear. These guys need to Work Together to make sure they beat trump instead of these things the news media is thrilled about. Charles gianno, what do you make of it . Hillary clinton has heartburn from 2016. She as the former nominee of the party is not one that candidates are going to saying hey, would you endorse my candidacy or appear with me in any Campaign Event is something that truly bothers her. She feels the Democratic Party as a whole has been dismissive of her candidacy and charles i have to jump in here. Breaking news i have to share with the audience. Voting against Boris Johnson timetable to leave the eu go to Ashley Webster live in london. Much ashley. Reporter charles, another defeat for Boris Johnson. He lost the vote on three of this day timetable. Lost on a account 322against. 380 for. He loses 14 votes. That is a big blow the october 31st deadline. Lawmakers said to the government we cant go through all of the nuts and bolts of your deal in just three days. Now we wait to hear from the Prime Minister, what he plans to do. We also wait to hear from the eu, on this news the eu may say we are going to extend a brexit deadline to january 31st of next year. So again, big blow for Boris Johnson who said doordie, im going to get you brexit by the end of october. Looks like he will not be able to fulfill that promise, charles. Back to you. Ashley webster, thank you very much. I want to discuss the ramifications. Lets listen to Boris Johnson first. The national interests. [shouting] mr. Speaker, i must express my disappointment the house has again voted to delay rather than a timetable that would have guaranteed that the uk would be in a position to lead the eu on october the 31st with a deal. We now face further uncertainty and the eu must now make up their minds how to answer parliaments request for a delay. The first consequence, mr. Speaker, the government must take the only responsible course, accelerate our preparations for a nodeal outcome. But secondly, i will speak, i will speak to eu Member States about their intentions until, they have reached a decision. Until we, reached this, i will say, we will pause this legislation. Let me be clear, let me be clear, our policy remains that we should not delay. That we should leave the eu on october the 31st and that is, that is what i will say to the eu and i will report back to the house. And one way or another, we will leave the eu with this deal, to which this house has just given its ascent. [cheering] i thank members across the house for that hardwon agreement. Point of order, mr. Ian blackford. Thank you, mr. Speaker. And i must say. Charles hear the discussion. Want to bring back what we just witnessed there with bore Boris Johnson. Nile gardiner. To the point you made earlier in the show this goes back to the eu. He said specifically he will tell the eu that he thinks that they should stick to this hard brexit, the brexit october 31st deadline . Yes. That is the right message sent by the Prime MinisterBoris Johnson which britain should leave the eu on october 31st. The uk government is ramping up preparations for a Nodeal Brexit. By no means certain, that the European Union will offer some kind of a extension, especially with very strong opposition to an extension from the french government led by emmanuel macron. And so i think there are still a strong possibility of britain leaving the eu on october 31st now, under a Nodeal Brexit. The Prime Minister had no choice but to withdraw the legislation from parliament. At the end of the day, this is a rotten parliament, consistently trying to undermine the will of the british people. We saw that with the latest vote with regard to the parliamentary timetable. The Prime Minister is being placed in a very difficult position. He has made the right call. Withdrawal the legislation. Ramp up preparations for Nodeal Brexit. Britain needs to leave the eu on october 31st. Charles point out to the audience, the dow had initial kneejerk reaction. We gave up 50 or 60 points on the dow. British pound stumbled pretty hard. If there were, if the eu were to say, you know what . We had enough of this, we want you to stick to the october 31st Nodeal Brexit. What would that mean for concessions Boris Johnson was able to get . I would if england. Are you asking me . Charles yes, ashley. Are you asking me . Charles yes, sir. Yeah, i think if that is the case if they drop out with no deal at all, uk, those against that, it would be armageddon. There will be lines at the ports. Shortages of medicine, food and et cetera. However, the uk would be free right away to start negotiating some big trade deals. Australia for one. The united states, lets not forget, donald trump said as soon as you get out of the eu, we can quadruple the type of deal that were doing with you as it stands right now. Be a little fly in the ointment dropping out for no deal is the ben act that requires, requires a threemonth delay if nothing is in place. Bottom line is, if prime tries to go ahead, right, well fall out of the eu, i have horrible feeling it will end up in the courts. Charles nile, i do want to go back to you because, would be extensive proposition, ahead of the original vote, all the bankers, the city got together and they put out major advertising campaigns, talking about the economics of a Nodeal Brexit. Actually saying brexit in of itself would destroy the uk economy but certainly a Nodeal Brexit would deal even more economic damage. Well the interesting thing that the british economy is doing just fine since the 2016 referendum. We have record levels actually of Foreign Direct Investment in the uk since the brexit vote in 2016. So i think under a nodeal scenario actually britain will do just fine. I think it is going to be more hardhitting actually for continental europe. Especially countries such as germany, very export reliant, germany exports 15 of the its cars to the uk. Germany would be hit hard. The United Kingdom which is a Global Trading nation, i think britain will thrive and prosper with a Nodeal Brexit. The uk would be able to sign, negotiate, implement free trade agreements very swiftly across the world. I think the idea that the sky is going to collapse if there is a Nodeal Brexit, is pure fiction. Charles right. Britain will do well with or without a brexit deal in place. Charles mixed martial arts re max between mcdonald and lima, two top welterweights, meeting at finals in mohegan sun casino in connecticut an one Million Dollar prize. The first battle was in 2018, when mcdonald won in unanimous decision. Here are both fighters. Thanks for joining me. Everyone thinks they will win but how will it be different roy . I feel it will be more dominant victory. I sharpened a lot of my tools where i feel that he was able to hurt me in the first fight and, looking charles what hurt you . Was a particular strike . Yeah he had some very good leg kicks. If you look at the fight, i had a very large injury on my leg which, you know, affected the fight. Charles social media, doug, someone said the leg looked like it was pregnant. Some people thought there were times when maybe the ref interfered when you had the advantage. One time roy was doubled over. Were you happy with the outcome . Again, what are you planning on doing different . I mean i was definitely disappointed. I lost the fight. I lot the belt. Close fight. Charles you feel the best man won that night . Yeah i mean, it depends how you score it. Because if you score it toward damage i would take the win but towards points, he would take the win because he got on top of me more times. So, just planning Everything Different this time, i will come out on top. Charles interesting, roy you made a lot of news after a fight you had in april, i dont know if i have it in me to hurt people anymore. You said it is hard to pull the trigger. You felt like god had changed you, spiritually, but then you went out there and beat gracie. Where are you now . Are you grappling with the idea, you guys are World Champion athletes, you worked hard for this, you know you will have to try your best to hurt this man . Absolutely. So it is something that i was battling with, i was wrestling with a little whale. I became a bornagain christian. So the lord has changed my heart. He has changed my mind. Changed my life in matter of a few years. So making the changes in that amount of time, adjusting to the changes. Before that, fighting was life, there was nothing else. Charles right. God has really blessed me with a whole other aspect of life outside of fighting. But i was adjusting to that. It came out in that fight and the last few month, i do feel a lot of clarity moving forward. I feel the lord is giving me an ability to at martial arts, put me in a place, you know, of high regard. Charles sure. Influence. So i will use that to the best of my ability. Charles doug, how important is it, Killer Instinct . I mean some fighters, have it all the time. Some know how to turn it on. When they need to . I think it is important, you know, but, you know, it is all where your heart is. Good he is going through that, a lot of changes. Does it make him weaker . No. He fought good those two fights. I prepare for the best rory ever. I still i think he got it in him. He is a fighter and competitor. I am myself, you know what i mean. Charles right. Intention is never there to hurt hurt the guys to win the fight. Charles absolutely. Sometimes they get hurt. Its a sport that we do. Charles we pray you both are safe and as a fan. I dont know if you remember this, charles, one and only kylie jenner tweeted negatively about the changes that snap had made at that time saying does anybody even go on there anymore . At that time, on that day, in the wake of that tweet, the stock got hammered. It lost 7 or 1. 3 billion of its market cap. The stock back then had been 20. You see it, it is 13. 98. A year and change later it still has not come back but is there hope for snap . Well tackle that in a big tech panel coming up at top of the hour eight minutes. Charles peloton hitting new low despite 14 wall street firms placing buy recommend dags on the stock recommendations on the stock this as soft bank has reached a deal to take control of we work. It will hand the co founder a reported nearly 1. 7 Million Dollars and sever most of his ties with the company. Stunning reversal for the company which once boasted a valuation of 47 billion dollars. It was scrapped though right before the ipo. If it had ipoed, i think it could have wrecked the entire bull market. The question is why is wall street pushing these deals on the public . I want to bring in chief technical strategist. Dr, let me start with you. When adam newman sold stock before the ipo, im telling you, it was a huge red flag. I came on. I told the viewers about it because it was a company where a ceo did the same thing, sold her stock before the ipo and that was the beginning of tend of the tech boom. Of the end of the tech boom. I think it could have crushed everyone. I believe it could have. I got to hear your call on that and agreed with you then, charles. Heres whats happening with these ipos. Were getting a smaller piece of the company, no control, and huge expenses. Look at what happened with uber. Uber had an 8. 1 billion dollars that they sold. The next quarter they wrote about 3. 9 billion dollars of ipo expenses. So almost half of that money went to paying Investment Bankers and people who held stock. People are starting to see this game. Wall street and the Public Companies that are ipoing are going to have to change not getting this valuation for this much control and give some more to the investors. Theyve been greedy. Charles jason, last week i was very critical of wall street for doubling down on smile direct, october 7th they got a bunch of upgrades even though it was obviously a flawed ipo. The stock has since gotten clobbered even more. Yesterday peloton got all of these upgrades and the lead underwrite r put the biggest share price target on it. Im worried about this. Ive lived through some of these things i dont want to see wall street get a reputation that it puts Investment Banking before individual investors. Well, that may be too little too late on your wishes part, charles. I mean, obviously, you know, wall street is a business. A lot of the times the business itself of wall street isnt necessarily the individual first. Obviously wall street has done wonders for the overall investment, you know, array of options for everyone. Regarding peloton, i mean, it is clearly not a coincidence that, you know, dozens of banks have all banded together to try to stave off peloton going to zero in a sense. The individual investor just needs to be informed on why those banks do what they do and not just take things superficially. Charles less than a minute. I want to get your thoughts, dr, we pulled back after the brexit vote. But were near alltime highs. This anxiety, earlier i had a couple say were not going to break out this year unless we get something on trade. I think trade is the thing to look at. I think brexit could be a temporary upset. I think we have a chance to break out the new highs even if nominal new ones. Charles jason, can we break out to new highs . As a trader, i try not to get too attached to up or down and look at the markets from an opportunistic standpoint. Right now, charles, it does look like theres some pretty solid upside momentum from here. Charles lets leave it there. By the way, i agree with you guys more than those other two guys. Liz claman, over to you. Liz i will take it. If you are wondering why the dow has lost some 90 of its 119 point gains, just look across the pond. British Prime MinisterBoris Johnson just lost the most important part of the brexit vote that was going on. His timeline to exit by october 31st from the European Union has just been shot down. Johnson threatening immediately that the government will now accelerate preparations for no deal on the halloween deadline to break up with the European Union. A hard brexit. The pound is gyrating, so are our markets. We are looking at green on the screen, but what were going to do is take you live to london for up to the minute details
