The law and protect their property amid growing violence over the weekend. Finally to philadelphia, Major League Baseball facing Major Concerns amid reports that the yankees versus phillies and marlins versus orioles games are postponed tonight after a coronavirus outbreak. Well discuss all this coming right up. But first, Top Senate Republicans expected to take their second crack unveiling a new round of covid stimulus. Well talk, well be talking about Mitch Mcconnell coming up. He is going to be able to get his caucus on the same page with the white house, or at least those are his plans. Some democrats as tens of millions of americans are on the verge of losing Unemployment Benefits this week. Fox news Congressional Correspondent chad pergram has very latest on a last minute deal between the white house and senate republicans. What is it going on, chad . Reporter they have to try to get all the republicans on board first. The republicans here are really negotiating with themselves, not with democrats just yet. There was this big expectations late last week to release the bill. That didnt happen. They worked over the weekend. It is expected to come out later today. The one thing we have learned in the past hour that they expect to drop the weekly unemployment benefit, the extra benefit that was tacked on back in march from 600 to 200. There is a lot of skepticism from republicans. Listen to tom cotton, republican of arkansas. We really need to have a bill that is much more finely targeted and calibrated towards needs we see today. Like helping our schools and colleges and universities get open by protecting them from ambulance chasing trial lawyers. Or helping our doctors and hospitals and clinics get the supplies that they need to insure that we are testing at sufficient speed and volume. Reporter mcconnell said weeks ago he would write the bill in his office. That was an effort to get gop buyn white house chief of staff mark meadows, along with secretary of treasury Steve Mnuchin came to the capitol twice over the weekend to take part in the drafting of the bill. Those moves were to signal to republican senators that the president was onboard with the plan as republicans are leery. Majority of republicans are opposed to measure because that is why they need too donald trump provides no leadership. Lindsey graham says half the people in the Republican Caucus wont vote for any stimulus. So we dont have a plan to negotiate. Reporter House Speaker nancy pelosi says once proposal is out from mcconnell, she would like to convene a meeting with senate and house leaders to talk about the way forward. These Unemployment Benefits expire on friday. That is the end of the month. Mitch mcconnell indicated it may take couple more weeks bleeding into august to finish this bill. David. David quick question, chad, if they dont finish the bill this week, are there any attempts to extend temporarily those federal unemployment bonus . They certainly could but that is something that House Speaker nancy pelosi has knocked down. She rejected that idea saying they passed a bill back in may and that republicans have been dithering right up against the deadline. Another cliff as we call it on capitol hill, david. David thank you very much. A race for a vaccine is on. Moderna continuing phase three of the coronavirus trial. As President Trump heads to North Carolina to tour a plant making a key component after potential Coronavirus Vaccine. Fox businesss Edward Lawrence has the latest on that. Hi, edward. Reporter david, the president going to see one of the plants that create five potential vaccines for the coronavirus that the u. S. Has invested in. The company is called fuji film biotechnologies. That will turn out everything needed for novavax to make their phase three trial. Novavax contracted with the firm after getting 1. 3 billion doll from the federal government. They have a target date of 300 million doses by january of 2021. Listen. Well do a Simultaneous Development of this whole process and be ready so if that vaccine from novavax or pfizer ready to go well have tremendous bandwidth to manufacture it at school. That is why fuji is about today. Well be down there with the ceo of novavax. Reporter the president will also get a coronavirus update. If everything goes well, looks Like Astrazeneca might be first with the vaccine in october. Pfizer will start phase three trials soon and have a vaccine at the end of this year. Moderna as you said starts phase three trials today. They received another 472 million from the administration over the weekend to stay on track for for the end of this year. Health and Human Services secretary alex azar is going with the president today. There is no politics in this. We need therapeutics and vaccines and need them quickly as we can get them. Were doing everything to shave every day off the development and manufacturing we can do so. Well make sure any therapeutic or any vaccine is safe and effective up to the fdas gold standards. Reporter the fda will not loosen any standards for a vaccine. It will be the same as previous vaccines that have already been approved. Back to you, edward. David Edward Lawrence, thank you very much. New infections increased 55,000. This is the lowest daily increase since july 7th. This goes up and down as the race for vaccines plow forward as several countries see virus flareups. We have former health and Human Services is being tear dr. Tom price. Great to see you,. David, thank you. David looking at it from your doctors perspective progress and the chance of getting a vaccine before the end of the year . Im real excited and enthused about the progress that has been made. Remember this usually takes, this process usually takes years to come about. So what the administrations done, what hhs has done, it is to make certain were doing all that we can to put resources to bear in the places that we can get the greatest amount of opportunity for success. So im hopeful, im optimistic that well be able to have a vaccine that will be both safe and effective by the end of the year. That doesnt mean that every single american will have access to that at that point but hopefully we can utilize it in those individuals at greatest risk so we continue to see those cases come down and have an opportunity to open our economy back up to a much greater degree. David doctor, despite the flareups, despite in some cases rising death numbers we do have a lowering mortality rate. That is the chance of you surviving this disease are growing. Is that because of increased therapeutics . Well, you see a decrease in the mortality rate for a couple of reasons. One is, that were doing more testing. So you get more testing of atom tick individuals and then those followings have the disease that may potentially succumb to that disease become a lesser percent but were also learning a lot more how to treat this disease. That is incredibly helpful. Whether it is remdesivir, whether it is dexamethasone, whether different kinds of activities with patients themselves when they present to the hospital or go to intensive care unit were having much greater success. It is also important to remember if youre under the age of 55 the likelihood of succumbing to this disease is very, very small. That doesnt mean youre not at risk. Individuals in those highrisk areas a and highrisk categories need to make certain theyre very cautious about their activity. David sure. The rest of us need to make certain were practicing Public Health guidelines so were not infecting those individuals that are at greatest risk. David if youre under the age of 15, chances getting this and succumbing to it are extraordinarily small. There have been 37 children under the age of 15 who died from covid. That is far less, i think it is about 1 3 than, or even one fourth of the kids that die every year because of the flu, yet we dont close the whole School System for the flu. If we dont do it for the flu, should we do it for the covid virus . Well it, everybody agrees that the place for kids during the school year is in the classroom, five days a week, getting inperson teaching but we want to make sure its safe. That is why it is important to have the local jurisdictions have the authority to determine when something is open. There are some counties where they dont have any incidents of coronavirus right now f youre in a hot spot, you may want to delay or do virtual teaching for a short period of time. We need to be certain that were use liesing Public Health recommendations, face masks, washing of hands, taking classes with single cohort, with the same students throughout entire day. Having outside classes and like. We need to make certain we are smart about this we need to make certain we get kids back to school. That is where they will learn. David would you send your kids to school under these conditions . Yeah. I think that the discussion with parents needs to be with administrators and teachers to say what are you going to do . If youre going to do the right things i with have no hesitation whatsoever to send my child to back to school. As long as theyre taking Public Health precautions with the understanding, again, that the likelihood of somebody under the age of 15 getting the disease or having a problem with the disease is very, very small. It bears repeating that it is less likely for them to have a challenge with the coronavirus than it is with the annual flu that we have every single year. David finally, doctor, the the state of washington and the state of oregon have been dealing with double crises. One hand covid. On the other hand these protests that very often turn into riots and we have seen flareups in those two states. Do you think those flareups are because of these protests that where people are squeezed together, very often get violent with each other . Well the virus doesnt know what people are gathering for. So if it makes sense to limit individuals gathering in large groups for any other reason, for sporting events or Community Events and the like then it certainly makes sense if individuals gather in large groups for whatever the purpose then youre going to see an increase in the rise of infection. David dr. Tom price, pleasure to see you, doctor. Thank you very much for coming in. Thanks so much, david. Take care. David meanwhile gold is soaring to an alltime high as economic and virus fears fuel flight to safety of the as investors brace for the busiest week for secondquarter earnings. To capitalist Pig Hedge Fund manager jonathan hoenig. Jonathan, a lot of listeners out there who followed your advice to buy gold going back months are probably pretty happy they listened to you then. Is it too late to get on the gold bandwagon . David, thank thank you for mentioning that. I dont think it is because of what you were alluding to. This bull market in gold didnt start in the last two weeks. It started four months. It started with gold stocks and other Precious Metals, palladium, platinum, silver had been screaming higher. This is momentum going on quite some time. David, i see it continuing for one finance fun factor alone. That is the value of the u. S. Dollar as been dropping lately. There is a lot of factors go into that. Perhaps talk of trillions of dollars of stimulus but as value of dollar goes down the value of gold and other Precious Metals, commodities in general 10 to go up. The wind is at the back of Gold Investors these days and alltime high weve seen today is a good indcaution that were going to get another alltime high throughout the rest of the week. David we talked about fear, the fear factor for gold. That is very often why people buy in. You mentioned also were spending, well spend at least one trillion on a new coronavirus package, as much as 3 trillion. Usually that has, that does have an effect of causing inflation because the more you have of something the less each individual item is worth but we havent seen signs of inflation yet. When do you think we will see signs of inflation if at all from all of this spending that is going on . Yeah. David, youre saying trillions and trillions of dollars you really need a calculator to start calculating all these trillions of dollars. I respectfully disagree with you though. I do think weve seen some signs of inflation . David where, where specifically, jonathan . Look at the price of those fang stocks, david, those big cap tech stocks that are up anywhere on average about 35 to 50 just this year. In my estimate a lot of that hot money printed going into stocks. Those are the assets that have been getting inflated. David yeah. By the way the wall street journal reporting that google is going to keep its employees home until july of 2021. This is the first u. S. Corporation to formalize the extended timetable because of the coronavirus pandemic. What do you think of that and do you think other Big Companies will follow suit . I think it is big, david. Google is not only a market leader. It and the other fang stocks are 25 of the Overall Index but its a policy indicator. Its policies when it comes to coronavirus will largely around the country. That is factor for the economy moving forward, david. I have never seen so much what is happening policy impacting wall street so closely. We know why the Unemployment Rate spikes because businesses were shut down. Although google is not shutting down, they will continue policy that has ramification throughout the economy and certainly throughout the market, given out important the fangs, big techs are. David jonathan, only 20 seconds, a big week for earnings reports from a lot of companies. What are you expecting . If the trend holds, david, they will be pretty disappointing. On average sales are down 9 . Earnings have been down 16 but it hasnt stopped the nasdaq and s p going higher. Much that has to do with the big cap tech stocks. A lot of those ceos are on capitol hill this week. There will be a lot of volatility when it comes to the markets, keep your eyes peeled. David jonathans nickname should be goldfinger particularly after your prediction. I wore my gold tie specifically because of. That jonathan, thank you very much. Thank you, david. David baseball is back but were about to see our first two games postponed over covid19. Details coming after the break. Im norm. Im szasz. [norm] and we live in columbia, missouri. We do consulting, but we also write. [szasz] we take care of ourselves constantly; its important. We walk three to five times a week, a couple miles at a time. David mlb showdowns now shut down. Tonights new york yankees game against the Philadelphia Phillies now postponed this after the Miami Marlins postponed their home opener against the Baltimore Orioles as coronavirus cases continue to pop up on their team. Fox News Headlines 24 7 sports anchor Matt Napolitano joining us now. Matt, this is what we were afraid might happen. They had just, the marlins just played philadelphia and im not even sure where the players are right now. Whether they went home or still stuck in a hospital in philadelphia but how many players, it seems to be spreading like wildfire through the team . Yeah, david, it is eight more marlin players were learning tested positive. 13 all total, two coaches. 13 members of the Miami Marlins tested positive for covid19. They are currently in philadelphia, quarantining, waiting for the test results to decide what comes next t came as a shock. Like you said, it was the worst fear for Major League Baseball. An outbreak with one roster like this. Just last week they were touting success rate of covid19 testing, the fact they had only four positive tests league wide for players, two players this is in the past week alone. To see it go complete 108, a 180. Road forward is unknown. There are a few more games still right now up in the air. There are concerns for the atlanta braves. They play the Miami Marlins on the wednesday on exhibition game. New york mets just played the braves in a series. This is stuff Major League Baseball david matt, this could ripple throughout sports. As we all know baseball is more social distancing than most sports. The outfielders very rarely touch hands with anybody. Even infielders dont get that close to people. So if it can happen in baseball youre damn sure it could happen in football. That is the big concern now, everybody talking will the nfl go bubble approach like weve seen the nba take, seen the nhl approach, major League Soccer. Major League Soccer had two clubs eliminated with coronavirus taking them out of the picture but they were able to go on with the event nfl is looking into this. Not a lot of time left. Players report to Training Camp tomorrow. Major league base balt is going ahead with the season. Termination not on the docket. Well see if there suspension for the week or what the plan is. David there are a plan, players cant play until they have two negative tests within a 24 hour period, 24 hours apart. They have to be cleared by a Team Physician and by the mlb covid19 committee. I didnt know they had one. They have to run through a lot of hoops in order to play again. Of course. Theyre taking these protocols very seriously. Keep in mind Major League Baseball had a lot of athletes questioning taking part in the season. One of the big names, mike trout was doubtful being a part of it. He was pleased with the testing and procedures came into play and how serious the teammates were taking it. A lot of athletes are questioning the decision making. They are still locked in. They will miss on certain amount of their salary. Envelope announced that if the players opt out by august 3rd deadline they will receive some compensation for the season. Even athletes in that sport are questioning what they will do now along with Major League Baseball. David speaking of football, there is a former football player, named ditka. Mike ditka is one of the toughest people the sport has ever seen before. He is pretty tough on players who took a knee before or during the National Anthem. Play some sound from an interview he had with tmz supports. Get your reaction. You cant respect our National Anthem, get the hell out of the country. That is the way i feel. You dont protest against the flag. You dont protest against this country who has given you the opportunity to make a living playing a sport that you never thought would happen. David there are a lot of people who think like mike ditka on that. Mike ditka is always nononsense guy. When Colin Kaepernick started kneeling during the National Anthem to protest social injustice, mike ditka was very vocal about dislike of that method of protest. Mike ditka has always been about football. I had a chance to interview him on football. I honestly say like staring down a pitbull. That being said he is a hardnosed, Old School Football side, there is process on National Anthem. There is plenty of players and even fans will disagree with that thought process. But that is mike ditkas prerogative. David he is a legend. I happen to love the guy. Interviewed him several times. Nice guy once you get him calmed. David exactly. Matt napolitano, youre great too. Thanks for coming in, appreciate it. Thank you, david. David there is growing push to bring people back to the big apple. David blaming the media for massive virus spikes, new York Governor Andrew Cuomo hitting wall street journal and New York Post for pushing reopenings in states like florida and arizona. As the governor faces intense scrutiny at home for seemingly arbitrary reopenings. Our own Kristina Partsinevelos has the details. Hi, kristina. Reporter hi, david. It has been six weeks, four phases of reopenings. We know that new york state and city have profoundly changed. Like you mentioned the governor on sunday complained specifically about the New York Post and wall street journal that they were pushing reopenings too soon but many new yorkers feel like the process is relatively arbitrary. What do i mean by that . Case in point. Im in greenwich, connecticut right now, standing in front of a crossfit gym that is open to the public. Most of the gyms in this area are open in general. This morning we were in port chester, new york, which was literally seven minutes away, one exit ride away. We were at a crunch fitness gym that was closed to the public. It has been closed since march. That is frustrating a lot of people given their proximity. We spoke to one individual who is literally crossing state lines just to work out. Listen in. We tried to create our own home gym buying a no brand name bike and treadmill and used live work outs from instagram and downloaded pell ton app. Unfortunately that wasnt really doing it for me anymore. I decided to go in connect without work with the personal trainer i had in the past. Reporter this is a problem for a lot of businesses in new york, especially as people cross state lines, specifically for the Fitness Industry t could be even worse once the reopenings happen. Why . The latest poll from Morning Consult roughly 18 of americans feel comfortable going back to the gym. We know, david, at that point there are a lot of gyms doing temperature checks but it is very different and it is a concerning situation when in new york a lot of the gyms have been left out of the reopening plans. So their businesses are in limbo. Back to you. David i had is amazing, just seven minutes away, one area it is closed, the next area it is opening. Unbelievable. Kristina, thank you very much. We have someone from the New York Post here to respond to Governor Cuomos accusations that i told you about moments ago. New york post columnist Carol Markowitz joins us. This is a governor with a covid mortality rate twice the national average. That is not to mention that horrendous record on Nursing Homes, he says you are the problem. Reply. You know, it is last resort of a failing governor. He had a 32,000 count death rate yet on latenight tv doing a victory tour. He put out a poster celebrating his accomplishments. You know, its sad that he has to attack the media, you know has been even minorly critical because he is so used to adulation of the rest of the media who thinks he did a good job. He clearly didnt. He goes at texas, New York Post, wall street journal. Only surprising thing he didnt go after fox. David dont give him any ideas. The media is joining in the cheering session for the governor. So a lot of people dont know the record on Nursing Homes on dont know the record on mortality rates so theyre just, theyre just not hearing the real news. Yeah, absolutely. Even beyond all of that, even just take it to the present day, like the reporter was saying you can go to a gym seven miles away. You can literally step over from queens to long island, to eat at indoor restaurant in long island but not in queens and theyre attached. So much what were seeing now makes no sense. There is no science involved. The governor is completely, you know, as a famous brooklynite biggie smalls, got tired of his own [inaudible]. Nobody else is. Yeah, you know, it makes no sense. David new york city, we saw a picture, stuart and i were talking earlier how much of a ghost town it has become. My building, i live in the Upper West Side of manhattan. My building is half gone now. Renters have gotten out. Owners are trying to figure out whetherth can sell to move out. How do you bring people back . When you consider the lack of any kind of a serious leadership, whether were talking governor or mayor, how do you bring people back . Its a great city. Weve been through crises before. This one seems unique. Im a lifelong new yorker. I love new york. Im not one of these people, oh, new york has failed every time that anything happens in the last 20 years. I think three things we need to do i laid out in my column today in the New York Post. Is open schools, parents need that stability. The city needs stability. Stop riots. Crime is a larger picture is also involved. But in a very particular concerns. We need to stop riots and stop attacks on police. The third thing is Governor Cuomo needs to lay off the businesses. Theyre struggling. They have been struggling. Open the gyms. Let bars serve drinks without food. Get a grip. Follow the science. Continue own with our lives the way we were meant to. David carol, none of those things happen with current leadership. They need to see theyre losing a tax base. Not just the superrich that left. That is obvious concern. A lot of people think oh it is rich manhattanites left. I know people left to go to stay with family across the country, in middle america, in other states. Theyre not locked up in the hamptons waiting to return. They need to really realize how much of the population wont return if the city remains in chaos and the state remains in disarray. David you mentioned rich new yorkers, not to mention businesses in new york city that have moved out. The tax base, we could lose, im estimating, i have no way of knowing for sure, but we could lose as much as a third of our tax business. If that happens, new york is broke. There is no way of getting around it. This city will be bankrupt. Absolutely. I think what these liberal politicians also dont realize all of their plans cost money. The money comes from that tax base. It isnt printed in the basement as Governor Cuomo one time said. We can print more money in the basement. That isnt a thing. They need to face reality and start working on getting people to return to new york. David we should mention, you had a great piece why immigrants come here. I married an immigrant so i was able to identify that piece despite all the problems. We had problems before in new york. Are you optimistic in the long run well get over this hump . I am in the long run. Im very concerned about the short term but, you know, i dont bet against new york in the long term. I think we can turn things around. My family came here in the late0s. The city was a disaster. Rudy giuliani became mayor around really cleaned up the place. Mike bloombergs terms were great time for new york. New yorkers do what they have to do. I wish they would do it sooner and quicker and not elect socialists. David wouldnt that be nice. Carol markowitz, go to see you, carol. Thank you very much. Nervous about flying . What if the airline offers to pay for your medical bills if you get sick . Would that get you on a plane . Details on that coming right up. Introducing stocks by the slice from fidelity. Well Emirates Airlines is the world arrest First Airline will cover your medical expenses, quarantining costs if you get the coronavirus while traveling. Well see if that helps their sales at all. Meanwhile coronavirus uncertainty hitting the College Sports world with the fall sports season hanging in the balance. Universities are standing to lose billions of dollars if there is no football. Grady trimble is crunching the numbers from a university i used to go to, Northwestern University in evanston, illinois. What is the situation there, grady . Reporter david, not to take a swipe at northwestern, your alma mater, they are not exactly known for the football team. They are still in the big 10 conference which has pretty big teams in it. This conference stands to lose a lot of money if the season doesnt happen. As of right now theyre planning only to do conference games. If that does not happen as planned, a new economic report says universities stand to lose quite a bit of money. Big 10 athletic programs collectively generate 1. 8 billion through licensing deals, ticket sales, donations, other revenue streams. Cases are on the rise now in some midwest states including some big 10 School States including wisconsin and indiana. Fall sports are just weeks away and at least some of that 1. 8 billion in revenue is in jeopardy. This could really impact Small College towns too. It is not just the lost ticket revenue, tech kit sales, merchandise sales, this is also not people going to bars and restaurants. Moms and dads not coming into east lansing to go to a game. Theyre not spending the money on a hotel. It is not just lost sports revenue. Reporter if moneymaking sports like football get canceled for this year, you will see a trickle effect. Were already seeing that. It is affecting other sports. Stanford university for example, cutting sports that dont generate a lot of revenue, volleyball, wrestling, rowing to name a few. 11 sports in total, david. We could see across more sports if we see the impact of fall sports either happening or not happening with no fans in them. Thus schools generating a lot less revenue than they are used to from those sports. David grady, im sure you heard the news the marlins, orioles game has been postponed in Major League Baseball. It is spreading apparently like wildfire, covid as we know it does, but it is spreading through the marlins team. It may also hit the phillies who they played with over the weekend. I imagine the folks there are monitoring that situation very closely, thinking if it can happen in Major League Baseball, it could probably easily happen in football . Yeah. I was going to mention that. Not just football, but College Sports in general. Typically this time of year students come back to campus to start with preseason training. If the College Sports are taking any cues from what weve seen in professional sports where they have these robust testing policies in place, this is not great news. The ncaa has already said that it could change its mind. It copull back on the idea of having fall sports. Well have to wait for word on that from the ncaa as well as individual schools and conferences. David i cant wait until this thing is over. Grady trimble, thank you so much, my friend. Enjoy of van ton. Officials arrest the owners avenue jersey gym after they repeatedly defied the governors shutdown orders. Andrew napolitano weighing in on this coming up next. Granted. Only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. I appreciate what makes each person unique. Thats why i like liberty mutual. They get that no two people are alike and customize your Car Insurance so you only pay for what you need. Almost done. What do you think . I dont see it. Only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Doors are wide open, theyre open 24 7, they say they will lock you down. What happens next. We have two weeks of clothing in here. We will not be leaving unless were arrested or unless the state backs down. Weve had enough of this. David back down, they did not. At tillis gym owners, frank and jim, talked about reopening despite defying new jersey governor murphy shutdown order. A day later they were actually arrested. To fox news senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano how he plays this out. Judge, here we are. Politicians are praising blm protests for squeezing together in tight company and making their views known in deference to the First Amendment right to do that and yet theyre arresting Business Owners who actually space out their property in such a way that will limit the possibility of anybody getting sick. The owners are because he himself participated literally arm in arm with his arms locked in political demonstrations, essence with which he agrees at the same time he has prohibited people from attending catholic mass where more than 25 of the church is occupied and also prohibited other openair demonstrations with which he disagreed. In this case he had the state police call the Utility Companies to have them turn off the water and electricity on this gym. And the Utility Company said forget about it. These guys paid three months in advance, were not turning it off. He had local police, locksmith break into the gym and put their own lock. They came by and took out the states lock and put on their own. They lived in the gym. They clients into the gym, it is not a public gym. Its a private club. They kept them more than six feet apart and studiously and. Judiciously wiped down all the equipment. That wasnt good enough. They got the state to get a judge to order them shut down. When they violated that judicial order, they got arrested for disorderly persons offense. Maximum time 90 days. No priors. You dont go to jail. That is what happened last night. This is not ajudication, that the governor is correct. It is a determination on its face these guys who in my opinion are american heroes violated a order of a judge to stay closed. The order of the judge is profoundly wrong because the governor has no authority to shut this place down. David the law has gone down haywire. Forgive me, judge, you live and die by the law. It has totally gone haywire. It is not new jersey. It is happening in michigan. Happening in places all over the country where these executive orders put forth by governors, those are not laws, these are executive orders are completely hypocritical and stand in sharp contrast to what theyre doing in other situations. Just to be specific it, was may 22nd executive order in new jersey by governor murphy that said, and im quoting here, that specifically bars quote, super spreading events and Large Community gatherings with more than 25 participants. He went, the governor, as i mentioned, you mentioned locked arms with people, hundreds, thousands of people there at that demonstration. So he was violating his own executive order so in new jersey the attorney general is independent of the governor. The governor cant fire him and the governor cant tell him what to do. The attorney general himself is a former federal prosecutor. Guess what he did . He ordered all prosecutions of all persons for violating governor murphys stay at home and social distancing and close your business orders dismissed. The attorney general himself determined that the governor did not have the authority to issue these orders, thatter this recommendations, that they were not laws. Only legislature can write the law. Still the state went after these two gym owners. I predict they will ultimately prevail. It will cost them a fortune. I dont know how the governor comes out of this. Im living and working in new jersey now as you pointed out. I dont know how the state is going to fare. With no notice he shut down restaurants on 4th of july weekend after he told everybody you can open up. David this is unamerican. It is absolutely unamerican. Again you can argue either way with regard to hough these Health Regulations should be enforced. When you have so much hypocrisy, so many double standards in this situation, that is not blind justice. Well, youre right, david. And, this is a governor who will permit 500 people, 500 at walmart but 100 at the second largest cathedral in the state, a cathedral seats 1200. That is not right. Not the way laws are made in america. David what the gym you had done, they taped off workout stations. They were operating 20 of the buildings capacity. 20 . They wiped down all the equipment. They only had 44 patrons in there at a time. I understand the virus is very tricky. I understand it can pop in ways that Health Officials cant even explain. Still it is just, just extraordinary that these governors around the country are acting like dictators and getting away with it. Hopefully that wont last much longer. Judge, very quickly, last point, go ahead. Well, youre 100 correct. Eventually this will come to a court of last resort, the Supreme Court of new jersey or of the United States. At some point, some court is going to have to say your job is to enforce the law. When you can make the law and enforce, youre not a governor, youre a prince. We dont have princes in america. David by the way we do have princes defending these guys pro bono i believe. I may be wrong. I believe i saw a lawyer that was defending them pro bono. Judge, great to see you. We are following major developments from coast to coast starting in new york with fears a perfect storm may be about to hit commercial real estate as few manhattan workers return despite the citys reopening. Then to our nations capital, where details are slowly coming out as republican senators are set to reveal their next Coronavirus Relief bill coming up. And in florida, we are seeing the number of coronavirus cases continuing to worry officials. They have new plans to deal with it. And in seattle, the citys police chief warning residents that officers cannot enforce the law. A trail of destruction in seattle. Officials say rioters looted businesses and set explosive fireworks this weekend. That isnt the only city, of course, dealing with violence. To dan springer now with the very latest. Dan . Reporter yeah, david. It was an especially violent weekend across the United States, really. Mainly because the flash mob or im sorry, the pop mob and youth liberation front, two groups that have been driving the nightly protests in portland, they put out the word last week to have people across the country come out in solidarity and march in protest on saturday night and thousands and thousands of people across the country did just that. But portland still had the biggest numbers gather around the federal courthouse. Protesters started fires and got hit with tear gas over and over again. One person was shot nearby. Police also found a backpack with molotov cocktails and ammunition for a rifle. Just some of the dangers facing Law Enforcement there. Up the coast in seattle, police were busy all weekend. This was the scene saturday night as they scuffled with protesters while making 47 arrests. They also released body cam video from that declared riot. Five trailers were torched and there was a lot of damage to businesses. You can see police getting hit with fireworks and those fireworks caused dozens of injuries. Spd says 59 officers were hurt, one had to be hospitalized. In austin, texas, one man is dead, another has been arrested after a deadly shooting during a protest saturday night. Police say a man drove into the crowd, then a protester armed with a rifle approached that car and then he was shot and killed by the driver. Gunshots also rang out in aurora, colorado when a motorist drove through a protest that tad lespdil oleutilleleeewafr it ano ther d ddlkedlndke onnn the stref icagcho. A violent weekend on the streets of chicago and many, many cities, at least a dozen cities had these protests that turned violent across the country. David . David thank you very much, dan. Things have to change. Well, we were just talking about seattle. Now seattles chief of police, carmen best, warning the citys businesses and residents that they are on their own essentially, that a new City Council Ordinance gives officers quote, no ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large violent crowd. To city journal contributing editor christopher ruffo. Seattle essentially just destroyed the social contract saying we cant do anything if protesters rip up your property. Yeah, this is absolutely extraordinary. What we are witnessing in downtown seattle is the collapse of public order in realtime. This comes on the heels of the city Council Moving to defund the police by 50 . The king county executive now moving to close the countys largest jail, reducing capacity by 60 , and the facts are very simple. When you dismantle the system of justice and Law Enforcement, you are enabling the kind of chaos and violence and looting that you are seeing now every night in cities like seattle and portland. Its stunning. Nothing like this has ever happened in recent memory. David chief best is again, i think its remarkable, i cant imagine a time when its happened before in American History when shes telling police that they no longer can do their job to protect property, to protect individuals lives, that they just are not allowed to do that. So you wonder what are they supposed to do . What is their job . You know, their job now unfortunately is really just to hold the mob at bay. The best they can do is respond to the most serious and Violent Crimes but this is totally unsustainable. Its almost unimaginable that a city as prosperous as seattle is witnessing this kind of chaos and disorder. The chief is taking care of her department but unfortunately, its the Political Class that deprived Law Enforcement of essential tools and essential personnel. Ther theres not much she can do. The letter she sent out was not only a warning shot to seattles residents, a wakeup call to them, but also a warning shot for the Political Class, if you keep going down this path of dismantling the justice system, chaos will ensue. David it is, its the City Councils all around america, new york, they are the ones that were really forcing the defunding of the police, moving 1 billion, essentially 20 away from their budget. Most people dont think about voting for City Councils. They think of a president or senators or congressmen, but City Councils should not be overlooked. Yet despite all this violence thats happening all over the country, leading democrats like, for example, joe biden, insisting that these protests are not violent. Nancy pelosi calling federal agents gestapos or storm troopers, those who stand up to them. Now a new yorker, jerry nadler, congressman from new york, head of the judiciary committee, speaking out very similar language. Lets play the tape and get your reaction. [ inaudible ] thats happening in portland right now . Thats a myth thats being spread only in washington, d. C. About antifa in portland . Yes. David there are no violent antifa protesters anywhere. I mean, that is patently absurd. If you listen to antifa itself, if you monitor their social media in cities like seattle and portland, they are jubilant. They are triumphant. They are announcing they will be hitting the barricades, throwing explosives at Police Officers and just over the weekend, we had many injuries in spd including an officer that i know who may not be able to walk normally again because she was suffered such a dramatic injury at the hands of these protesters. It is an absolute absurdity and a lie to say that antifa is not fomenting tremendous violence. I think you will start seeing reports emanating from all these cities of horrific accidents and this is again, really just a tinderbox and im afraid that what you will see is a further escalation as the police pull back. You will see arson, you will see brazen attacks against the police. Its quite dangerous. David you are also seeing murder rates go skyhigh. We just got a full list of reports of murder rates going up. Minneapolis, up 85 . Chicago, up 73 . New orleans up 46 . Denver, murder rate up 46 . Kansas city, murder rate up 40 . Houston, 37 . Philadelphia, 31 . It just goes on and on and on. When you pull back police, when you handcuff police, prohibit them from taking the action that they must take against the evildoers in our society, we will end up with more evildoers doing more bad things to innocent people. And thats precisely the most Extraordinary Part of this story. While people are looting in the streets, rioting, committing acts of arson and murder, its skyrocketing throughout the United States, you have a Progressive Political establishment that is gripped by an almost religious fanaticism to abolishing of institutions that maintain public order, all kind of concocted under this mythological theory of Critical Race Theory and its really extraordinary. This is the 1960s that is happening all over again, except that the radicals are not the students protesting the establishment. The radicals in these cities are now the establishment. They control the levers of power and the next few months is going to be very precarious for large american cities. David all right. Christopher, im glad youre out there reporting on all this. Again, City Councils, beware of City Councils. They have a lot more power than you ever realized. Now we are realizing that. Chinese companies are relying more on the United States where the countrys investments outpafg lacing last years. To Jackie Deangelis on why china is still determined to succeed in u. S. Markets despite all the growing tensions. I never saw this one coming. Jackie its really interesting. Good afternoon. Listen, we see the trade war last year, youve got the people who are blaming china for the spread of the coronavirus right now and also, the recent issues with shutting chinese consulates here in the United States. You could say the tensions with china are at a boiling point but the issue is and always has been the reciprocal profitable relationship between our country and china that makes everything so complicated. We know u. S. Companies have worked on restructuring their supply chain, the Trump Administration rallying for less dependence on china, bringing in jobs and production home to the states, but u. S. Investors still profit from china in other ways, specifically investing in Chinese Companies and their ipos. Even with the tensions, china still looks to the United States to raise money to fund these companies. In the first half of 2020, the number of Chinese Companies listing on the nasdaq or the nyse was up 55 year over year and for investors who get in, the rewards are pretty sweet, especially for the larger wellfunded ventures. Listen. Youre talking about close to 60 returns on your money and i think the u. S. Investors would want to take advantage of those kind of opportunities. Jackie according to Advisory Firm markumbp, there are close to 350 unicorns as we call them today, those Big Companies, and twothirds of those are chinese. Regardless of the latest round of tensions we are seeing, they say the reason they still wouldnt turn to the u. S. Markets for fundraising help. Listen to this. Things have been at a standstill so most of the Companies Need money. A lot of these Unicorn Companies are growthoriented companies. They need capital to grow and expand. So theres a tremendous need out there for money. Jackie drew bernstein thinks if the u. S. Market was for some reason shut down to u. S. Investors, there would actually be plenty of appetite elsewhere in other countries for these deals. But what investors want to stay away out of principle because of everything thats happened . Probably not, considering the markets appear to be one of the few spaces where the u. S. china relationship actually has some transparency and regulatory cooperation. You know, as you really dig into this relationship, theres a lot to get to and a lot of money to be made, and thats why its so troubling. David when you have principles and profit, usually profit wins. Great to see you. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. All right. Investors are awaiting the next Coronavirus Relief measure from republican senators and they have their eyes on a Vaccine Development with moderna beginning its phase 3 trial today. To nuveen chief equity strategist bob doll on Key Developments investors are looking for. Bob joins us on the phone now. Lets first talk about the vaccine and therapeutics. How important are they for investors . On the phone i think hugely important. If we can wave a magic wand and get that done, i think a lot of people would breathe a sigh of relief since the uncertainty, absent that, thats part of the problem which creates the economic backandforth. Its high on the list of important items. David as i look at the market and its an up day and we are happy its an up day, its 26,500 points right now which is great, but you look at cities and i dont mean to be centric about new york, because its happening in big cities all over the country where the blows to businesses come one after the other. First it was the covid shutdown, then it was the protests, then the protests turned into riots, now you have even where there are openings like in new york, people arent coming back. I dont know if all this has been priced into the market. Do you . On the phone i agree with you. I think the markets a little ahead of itself and seems to be ignoring several issues that could be problematic. Youve just cited one of them. Its not just one city, as you point out. Its big swath of them and they make up an important part of gdp. So thats got to come under control at some point in time. David then we have what they are doing in washington. I hate to say it but washington very rarely makes things better. They get so involved in politics, particularly in an election year. You got at least a trillion dollars, as much as 3 trillion is what nancy pelosi wants after all the trillions we have already spent, and yet some people still suggest, some investors, that we arent going to see inflation. How can you avoid inflation and you look at the price of gold right now which seems to indicate inflation, its more than just a flight to safety from gold. Do you think we are going to be hit by inflation . On the phone sadly, yes, but the good news is not for awhile. We are still in this nasty economic slap in the face and recessions are the opposite of inflation, they are disinflationary or deflationary. But youre right, markets that look forward, commodities, you pointed out gold, for example, inflationary expectations. Were not yet seeing it in the bond market very much outside of the tips area, treasury inflation protected securities, but i think that some more inflation than we would otherwise have had is probably in our future. A lot will depend on how we deal with it. Do we raise taxes, do we allow the deficits to stay big, do we monetize it. The dollar going down is another signal that inflations probably sometime down the line. David right. Right. You know, bob, as much as i love your inflation predictions, i love your political predictions even more. And youve kind of updated your 2020 election prediction. Heres what you said on fox. Lets play the tape. January, donald trump was a shoein for reelection. In april, not so much. 16 president s, stuart, have run for a second term since the year 1900. The ten that ran without a recession were all reelected. The six that ran that had a recession, only one was reelected, five went down to defeat. Thats why weve changed our tune on the election. We think its an uphill battle for donald trump. David by the way, who was that one president reelected during a recession . On the phone calvin coolidge. The debate, was it really his or the guy before him. Some people say no president s ever been reelected when theres been a recession in the year or the year before. Its a tough one. You know, theres a lot of time between here and november, although we are under 100 days now so we will have to watch this carefully and you know the polls. David yeah, indeed. By the way, 99 days is the specific number before the election. Do you think we can see enough progress on the economy so the president could run on that . On the phone that is certainly his potential saving card to get him out of the mess. Look, we lost 22 million jobs. Weve gotten eight back in two short months. My guess, it will take the rest of the year to get another eight million back which still means we are down six or eight from the peak. So i think the economy is going to be a tall order, as well as it might do from here to november, to get him back in the white house. David even though its all covid because we saw these incredible employment numbers before covid kicked in, he certainly is not responsible for it, china is. That doesnt matter to voters, right . On the phone so when the team loses, the coach and the quarterback bear a lot of the blame. Whether its their fault or not. So he will wear a bunch of this. There with a lot of other variables, too, i dont want to be monolithic about it but hes got a long road to hoe and got to get focused on the issues should he want to be reelected. David focus is the key. Bob doll, great to see you. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Google is set to keep staff working at home until september. The trend putting real estate in a real bind. Thats coming up. We could never do what they do. But what we can do it be a partner that never quits. Verizon is the most Reliable Network in america. Built for interoperability and puts First Responders first, giving their calls priority, 24 7. We do what we do best so they can too. Hey, our workers comp insurance is expiring. Also, i think where we live right here in los angeles is overcrowded. You look at the economic despair, when you look at the homelessness problem thats accelerated radically over the last six, seven, ten years, i think theres too many people here. David not to mention taxes. Thats superstar joe rogan announcing hes leaving california for texas, citing more freedom in the lone star state. We will see how that works out. In the meantime, googles ceo telling Company Employees hes extending the workfromhome option until the summer of 2021. This just adding to fears of a perfect storm thats about to wreak havoc on commercial real estate in many cities. Coronavirus lockdowns, rising crime, all beginning to crush the sector. Charlie gasparino joining us with what hes hearing about this. Doesnt look good, charlie. Charlie david, theres a lot of smart people who are starting to compare whats going on in commercial real estate, the overpricing of it, the pandemic that hit it and now the crime wave that is keeping workers home, starting to compare that situation right now to say 20062007 right before the financial crisis hit, where you saw in the residential mortgagebacked security market, you saw some really bad stuff. You saw those bonds start to crater with rising delinquencies and foreclosures and of course, people losing money. We were having that situation right now. All you have to do is look at commercial mortgagebacked securities, look at the underlying portfolios, look at whats starting to be placed in delinquency and default right now and what you have across the country are malls, buildings and it still hasnt really impacted whats happening in new york right now. I dont believe new york state right now is in the middle of this thing. I dont think excuse me, new york city right now. I dont think the prices of new York Real Estate is totally factored into the commercial Real Estate Market right now but it will be. This is the scary scenario. If the banks are leveraged, if the banks have given a lot of loans to these developers that own new York Real Estate and if these prices come down in new york city which they inevitably will, they may not now because its a little sticky but they will come down, what type of impact does that have on the financial system, and it could be really scary. Again, i hate to give you doomsday scenarios because theres always a positive scenario. For all i know, the fed is going to come in and buy all the new York Real Estate up. Its always possible to stop armageddon. I will give you insight into how bad it is with commercial real estate. I broke a bunch of stories, my producer and i broke a bunch of stories on Brooks Brothers going into bankruptcy. What we did last week, we talked about some of the bidders for Brooks Brothers. One of the bidders is simon properties. Simon properties owns some of the buildings that Brooks Brothers, you know, is in. Simon properties basically, at least looking at the bailout itself by buying Brooks Brothers, they will close down more than half the stores but still, they will stop, they are trying to put a finger in the hole, you know, as the waters coming out, they are trying to stop the decline, dramatic decline. If you see a developer buying a retailer like Brooks Brothers, then you know theres some theres really a real estate problem out there. Again, i hate to say, give you doomsday scenario but you just got to start factoring this into your equation. Theres not a lot the fed can do unless they come in there, i guess they could buy the cmbs, thats possible. They could go in and buy the actual property. Thats possible. But theres going to be, you know, a david its extraordinary. No question about it. Of course, all of those Companies Moving out means less revenue for the city, and the state. The city and the state are going to go back 1970 bankrupt days. Charlie and look at it this way. David quickly. Charlie why would you risk your life working in new york city right now . Forget about the pandemic. You can deal with the pandemic through masks, if you are going to get mugged . Think about that. I mean, this is we have a real problem on our hands in major cities where its just as easy to work from home, it could be very productive and youre not going to get, you know david charlie, i lived in my Apartment Building for 25 years, never had a problem on the street. Somebody was just held up, an older woman was just held up by knifepoint last week. Thats happening all over new york. I know its just an anecdote but it is happening all over. You see it reflected in the murder rates. Got to leave it at that. Charlie, yeah, you are mr. Doom and gloom today but unfortunately, you got to report the truth. And thats what it is. See you. Unfortunately, as Remote Learning looks more likely for many people this fall, parents are creating their own plans. Weve got details of that coming next. Just over a year ago, i was drowning in credit card debt. Sofi helped me pay off twentythree thousand dollars of credit card debt. They helped me consolidate all of that into one low monthly payment. They make you feel like its an honor for them to help you out. I went from sleepless nights to getting my money right. So thank you. David usually at this time of year that backtoschool music is apropo of the situation but not this year, because Virtual Learning is looking increasingly likely this fall for students across the country. Now parents are taking matters into their own hands. To Lauren Simonetti with details. Hi, lauren. Lauren have you heard of microschools . They have actually been around for awhile but are surging in popularity right now. Essentially its a pod, a small group of kids, maybe four to 12 students, and they are taught by a parent or tutor or teacher at someones house. The host family rotates who is hosting classes every week so that frees up the parents if they have to work from home or just do other things. Its less onus on the parents. It also allows the kids to learn at a socially distanced environment. There are wait lists to microschool. There are lotteries to get into certain microschools. Some parents and notforprofits are setting up their own microschools. There is sometimes a fee to join. Then if you are hiring a teacher, it can cost up to 80 an hour per child. The reason parents are making this investment is because they are dissatisfied with the level of education virtually that students received at the end of last year, it was a crash course for many, Remote Learning. 44 according to deloite unsatisfied. They are paying for things like microschooling but also virtual supplements. There is a program called outschool that costs about 10 per class so you can learn anything from algebra to how to speak with a british accent. Then theres outdoor classes but some of the options cost money and look, not all parents can afford it. Thats why home schooling has been very popular. The number of students home schooled this year is expected to more than double to ten million. Heres the issue with home schooling. It requires dedication. Its not expensive so if mom or dad can stay home to do it, its not going to cost you more than 600 a year. The issue is, a, does mom or dad have the ability to not work, to home school, and b, are they cut out to do it. Thats why there is so much anxiety about backtoschool, whether its back to the classroom or back to home schooling. David home schooling does work. I know a lot of parents who have done it extremely successfully. But it does take a dedication and it takes Economic Freedom on the part of one of the parents which a lot of people dont have. They dont have that choice. But if you have the choice, home schooling can work. Lauren, thank you very much. Appreciate it. To a new report that schools reopening this fall could crash our already overburdened covid19 testing system. To Heartland Institute policy adviser dr. Roger kline on the nations testing capability. Doctor, great to see you. Dont we need more testing units and testing kits than what we now have . Thanks for having me. Yes, we do need to increase capacity but i think most important is deploying it effectively as well. I think just to randomly test, of course, is not necessarily optimizing resources. I think we need to test but we also need to test wisely. David way back in march, you wrote a piece that overregulation was inhibiting testing, that there were so many regulations affecting tests that it was just clogging up the whole system. They are bringing new testing methods online. Have those roadblocks been removed . Oh, yeah. We got off to a slow start but what we have accomplished is truly remarkable. Once the private sector was freed up to test, we had an explosion in testing. We have done at least according to one source, almost 55 million tests in this country. That is unprecedented for a new disease. Its actually a remarkable accomplishment. David it is indeed. Of course, you still hear criticisms, people hawking that the president isnt doing enough but it seems impossible to understand how somebody could do more in terms of testing right now. Agreed. The president i think in this respect did a great job. Once the administration got wind of the problem, they relaxed the regulations and freed up the private sector which does most testing in the United States. We have large commercial labs, we have hospital labs, we have physician offices in addition to where they started Public Health labs and cdc which really dont perform much clinical testing in regular world. David now, very quickly, the continued shutdown of the schools and businesses, whats your feeling on that . Well, i think shutting down businesses, we need to learn to live with it. Weve got four million cases, weve probably got 40 to 50 million infections that weve had at least. This is with us, its going to be with us and we are going to need to live with it. Ive said it before, we shut down shutdowns arent effective, we need to move forward and most important is to protect those who are most vulnerable, at highest risk, the elderly, the sick. Try to do as best we can to minimize deaths by making sure those folks dont get infected. But the rest of us need to go on safely and cautiously with our lives. David we have been drowning in statistics but one statistic that is very poignant that sticks out in my mind is when Governor Cuomo announced that 60 of all the new covid hospital cases came from people who have been sheltering in place, who have been locked down for the past couple of months. Its clear that even people in lockdown can get covid, weve got to think about opening up more often. Doctor, got to leave it at that. Thank you very much for coming in. Appreciate it. Thank you. David well, coming up, why senator Bernie Sanders is calling elon musk a hypocrite over comments that that ceo made about the next stimulus package. Thats next. David well, nfl financials are in flux as the league could see revenue drop by as much as 4 billion this year. Hillary vaughn has more. Reporter well, the nfl reached a deal with the Players Union to lower the salary cap in anticipation of major loss of revenue for the 2020 season. This deal reached as Training Camps expected to begin this week. There has been talk of going virtual for Training Camp until the nfl and the union reached a deal. Nfls Roger Goodell saying in a statement we worked collaboratively to develop a comprehensive set of protocols designed to minimize risk for fans, players and club and league personnel. The season undoubtedly will present new and additional challenges but were committed to playing a safe and complete 2020 season, culminating with the super bowl. Now, players and the league agreed to a lower salary cap for the 2021 season, 175 million, down from 198 million, due to expected billion dollar losses this season. Wall street journal says that loss could be as much as 4 billion if the season is played with no fans in the stands. Its not just the drop in revenue coming in that the nfl has to deal with but surging costs due to covid19. Testing this season could cost as much as 75 million. The league also says that players who take part in high risk activities and contract covid19 could face fines themselves and also team discipline. The game itself poses unique challenges as baseballs first week back could be stuttering to a stop after 14 Miami Marlins players and staff tested positive for the virus. Its already suffered an outbreak of their players. The mlb made major changes in game play to protect players and prevent this from happening but they are still having issues which really poses a question for football, because its an entirely different game. Linebackers cannot socially distance six feet apart and the game relies on touching and tackling, which is a problem when you are trying to socially distance to prevent the spread or outbreak of covid19. David . David if it can happen in baseball it definitely can happen in football. That simple. More easily happen in football. Hillary, thank you very much. More coronavirus cases in florida still a growing concern, at the same time Vice President mike pence is set to give a press briefing at the top of the hour in miami. In march, 45 volunteers were injected with the possible vaccine, who developed neutralizing antibodies in their blood stream, key to blocking infection. Although more than half ended up with flulike symptoms like fever, the side effects only lasted about a day. Florida now has more than 430,000 total cases of coronavirus, adding another 8800 today since this all began, more than 5700 covid fatalities. Miami is now dedicated about 40 cops to enforce the citys mask mandate which comes with a 100 citation for not complying. The governor has not ordered masks to be worn statewide as mandatory and wants all schools to be open next month to at least give parents that option, which is not happening right now in Palm Beach County and broward and likely not going to happen in miamidade either unless the positive test result numbers really start dropping down below 10 and they have been hovering in the upper 10s. The home opener baseball game for the Miami Marlins in downtown miami is now canceled after a total of 14 players and coaches are now confirmed with covid19. David . David we wish them the very best. As the white house wrangles with congress over the next round of stimulus, elon musk has weighed in tweeting that another government stimulus package is not in the best interests of the people, in my opinion, and only direct payments to consumers should be included. Well, that annoyed senator Bernie Sanders, who clapped back in this instance, tweeting what a hypocrite, elon musk has received billions in corporate welfare from u. S. Taxpayers and now he wants to stop 30 million americans who lost jobs from receiving 600 a week in Unemployment Benefits while his wealth has gone up by 46. 7 billion over the past four months. Pathetic. So we dug into the numbers to see if that was actually true. We came back with these figures. Start with elon musks biggest money maker, electric car company tesla, receiving nearly 2. 5 billion in federal, state and local grants. Half a billion dollars in federal loans. As for spacex, only 5. 5 million came in direct grants but nearly 5 billion from nasa in contracts and money for research and development for the satellite car star ompany starlt to provide connectivity to rural areas receives 16 billion in subsidies. Sanders is right on musks wealth. Hes worth, not bad, 67 billion thanks to a near 300 rally in tesla shares this year. That new Austin Cybertruck plant should net him around 60 million over ten years, at least, in these subsidies or grants and tax relief but we dont know the full picture yet since we know nevadas was worth around 1. 4 billion. David thank you very much. Go to ta got to take a short break. How do you take on a Company Worth 1. 6 trillion . Thats what our next guests are actually trying to do, taking on apple. David tim cook, jeff bezos, Sundar Pichai and Mark Zuckerberg set to testify on capitol hill on wednesday. Blix have been battling apple over anticompetitive tactics for the past year. No theyre working working witht rick congressman David Cicilline how to best to ask. This is the Biggest Company ever. That is a pretty daunting david and goliath story. Are you up to it, ben . Thats true. Yes we are. Were working hard to, show the case that we have. We have really interesting cases going on against apple. It all started last year as patent apple holds for operating system. We signed with apple a Technology Based on our granted patent. He can apple took the Technology Without giving credit or paying for it. Two days later they kicked us out of the app store. All of that, is the conclusion we needed lawyers and we needed to take, we needed to fight, we needed to fight hard for justice. David now, dan, we did try to reach out to apple for comments. We didnt get any. We will play them if we do but what have you told the congresspeople to ask tim cook specifically about anticompetitiveness . So, basically it is all about fairness. What were looking for is the ability of App Developers to be able to put their apps on the app store and to be able to reach consumers and it is about consumer choice. It is about the ability of consumers to see innovation and about them to be able to enjoy, you know, innovation from other companies and, the problem is, that if there is such a huge company, in many cases, in our case at least they stifle competition. So Small Developers like ourselves, there are many, many thousands if not more of these kind ever developers are feel theyre being blocked to a certain degree. David dan, let me stick with you for a second. We have only about a minute left, do you think that the power of apple is bound to win in the end . I hate to say as much as we love david and goliath stories here in the United States, that money that they have, and that power that they have, they use politically, do you think they will try it this time, quickly . We seek antitrust and anticompetitiveness acts are [inaudible]. If the not good enough, to stop this kind of behaviors. David i wish you guys luck. Again it really is david and goliath. 1. 6 trillion versus you guys. Good luck. Thank you so much. David we are a country about chances for the small guy against the big behemoths. Ben and dan, good to see you both. Thank you very much for being here. I will toss to Charles Payne a little bit early because i know that we have the president s statements coming up, charles.
