Youre watching the fox business network. President trump and joe biden duking it out in minnesota today. It is beginning early voting. The Trump Campaign has its eyes on flipping the gopher state. Its a state he lost to Hillary Clinton by just under 45,000 votes. Lets bring in trump 2020 black voices for trump, she is the official there, shes stacy washington. Of stacy, its great to have you on the show. Your take as both trump and bind now targeting blue collar and middle class voters in the iron range, your reaction to the fight going on in minnesota right now. Well, i think President Trump is unique lu positioned after closing the gap that mitt romney had down to just 1. 5 . Hes actually got a huge chance, and hes been on the ground there numerous times before today. In contrast to that, liz, this is joe bidens first trip there, and i think in, i think, a thousand days, so hes got a lot of catching up to do. Meanwhile, a lot on the ground thats changed in the way of how people are thinking about who they want to vote for since 2016. Mainly the riots. So i think our game is strong. The public polling shows a 10 gap, 10point gap. But we actually have internal polling that looks much better for us, but the best polling or communication ive seen that proves that were winning in these battleground states is things that have been said by people like don lemon and nancy pelosi and, of course, joe biden himself. Theyre all now condemning the riots. After 90 days of sustained mayhem, they finally decided that the polling is not going in the right direction, and they want to Say Something about it. President trump has been strong on law and order from day one. Elizabeth you know, youre making important points. Lets take the first one. The media is growing increasingly concerned joe biden does not have a ground game in the battleground states. Much of bidens campaign is digital, on the internet in places like michigan. Chuck todd of msnbc warning about that, Michael Moore, the filmmaker, saying where is he . They dont see biden in the battleground states. Thats pretty surprising. Your reaction . Well, i mean, it is surprising, but when i see people who are hard core leftists like Michael Moore calling out democrats for what they see as deficiencies in the campaign, i immediately look to see what the president is doing in comparison. We have 17 of these black voices for Trump Community centers that are open across the country. Were door knocking every weekend, we have reached and touched well over a million voters the entire Trump Victory campaign, and im talking about door knocking. Thats face the face until contact. Were not afraid to shake peoples hands and ask them to vote for President Trump because hes actually trying to win their votes rather than feeling entitled to them. Elizabeth lets talk about the riots and violence which certainly took hold in minnesota and in minneapolis. A growing number of states nationwide seeing crime and violence. Were tracking more than 300 federal arrests right now, 637 riots. Lets look at the data, were going to show it. Were now tracking nearly 13,000 demonstrations in all 50 states. You know, were seeing things like in minneapolis, for example, the city council this is now demanding answers from the minneapolis cops asking or where are you, we dont see you out there on crime, but they tried to push defund cops. Theyre trying to do that and over a hundred officers have left. Thats double the usual count. Whats going on here, stacy . What do you think . Liz, this kind of burns me up a little bit, because i no e there are plenty of People Living in that city who are absolutely innocent of all of this, apolitical or certainly havent expected to experience the kind of mayhem theyve had to endure. Were talking about its been a process, a timeline, liz. Were talking about, first, the city council there defunds the police. Then the police pull back, theyve been defunded, a lot of them are retiring, theyre suffering through ptsd, and theyre in danger of losing not just their livelihoods, but their personal fortunes because theyre being treated like criminals for defending themselves. After that you have street racing, liz, you are arson you have arson, you have i assault, and you have more people shot there in this month, september, than all of 2020. So people there are asking where are the police, and now the is city counselors who are actually defunded the police are asking where they are, and theyre doing what theyve been told to do. Theyve been told to stand down, step back, let these people have room to destroy, and now that the fruit of that is coming out, people want to ask where they are . I think its just crazy. Theyre deflecting their responsibilities. They did this, the city council, and they should be voted out. Elizabeth you know, stacy, we had a video of a woman in minneapolis so scared, she has helicopters going over her house at night, shes hearing gunshots that shes never heard before in minneapolis, shes sleeping with her children in her bedroom. We had bernie kerik, former nypd commissioner, saying, yeah, thats what moms and dads do. Its scary for people out there. But, you know, you hear the line coming out of the rioters and protesters, this is reparation that the Small Businesses, many owned by minorities, they can afford it. Their insurance will cover it. Your take on that . Well, i happen to know, i have friends or who are Small Business owners, and and if you have insurance, often your commercial insurance doesnt cover acts of god or rioting. So rioting is not automatically covered by your insurance policy, so the assumption that they can just, you know, file a claim and get everything paid for also doesnt take into account, liz, that a business that isnt opened isnt earning an income, but you still have to pay your mortgage or your rent. These people are actually having their entire lives destroyed by rioters who claim to be doing this on behalf of george floyd or blacks being shot unjustly by the police. This isnt about that anymore. Im so sick of democrats taking Election Year politics to the extreme and using black people at the cudgel that they hit white voters over the head with and say you have to vote for democrats. We are not an election issue item that you can just use and abuse and toss away after the election. These riots and this violence, its not about black people, about black men being shot. It has zero to do with protecting anyone from any type of violence, and it has everything to do with trying to keep President Trump from being reelected. Elizabeth thats interesting, what youre saying. Taste i city, were also seeing on the other side of this story san antonio increasing the funding for cops despite demands from activists to cut spending on cops. And hundreds in chicago gathered for a back the blue rally in support of the police this week. Your take on that. So, liz, i know across the country, so my father was in Law Enforcement, two careers in Law Enforcement. One active duty in the army, and ive got to tell you, ive never seen the kind of animus toward the police as were experiencing right now in america, but ive also seen where me and my kids make it a point to go up to Police Officers when we see them in public and tell them that we are praying for them, ask them if they want to pray right there on the spot at the gas station. You know, when youre talking to them and saying, look, we support you. And a lot of americans feel that way. So the loudest voices are out front saying all horrible things about Police Officers, but there are so many millions of us who are praying for them and want them to continue to do this good work that theyve been called to do, because its a calling to be a police officer. And so there are bad apples, and President Trump has signed an executive order that provides for reforms at the federal level that any local jurisdiction can mimic and put into practice, but the issue that were having right now is that we need to have a candid conversation about what being an american really means and what supporting Law Enforcement really means as opposed to all of this discussion about a race and inconsequential issues that really dont have anything to do with what real Americans Care about. Elizabeth stacy washington, youre great. Will you come back soon . Its great to have you on. Anytime you want me. [laughter] thanks, liz. Elizabeth okay, sure. You have a good weekend, okay . Stacy washington there. Coming up, the president ial debates just a week away, cnn facing criticism for a town hall last night that was filled with softball questions going too soft on joe biden. Weve got the hill media reporter joe concha back with us on the show. Joe, its great to see you again. You know, the debates are just a week away. Cnn getting blasted for a town hall last night that lobbed lots of softball questions at joe biden. What was your reaction to that. Well, as a softball player, its an insult because theyre more like beach balls which are infinitely bigger, elizabeth, and easier to hit when thrown to you. Look, the numbers tell the story. There were 16 questions asked of joe biden last night, 13 were from democrats, just 3 from republicans. And before you say, well, thats just dumb luck, you know . Biden just called or Anderson Cooper just happened to call on random people in the crowd, no, the network decides beforehand who asks the question and what the questions are. And if cnn is truly an objective network, they would have done simple math which is why dont we have 8 republicans ask questions and 8 Democrats Ask questions. Thats the whole story, elizabeth, this was a fixed fight. Elizabeth yeah. You know, there was no pushback on, you know, bidens 4 trillion plan, 4 trillion in tax hikes. He said the president was responsible for all, for all covid19 deaths. Really . What about preexisting conditions . He says, you know, china is just a competitor when the fbi director, christopher wray, just testified the same day that china is stealing our covid19 Vaccine Research and testing technology. And theres no pushback on all of that and much more. Your take on that. Anderson cooper actually, and he was the moderator last night, actually moderated a president ial debate just four years ago, the second president ial debate, and here he is on this stage, and as you said, not once pushing back on joe biden as a good journalist does or fact checks in any way as a good journalist does. Joe biden also lied and said that President Trump had not mentioned during his state of the Union Address in early february anything about the coronavirus. Yeah, he did. Meanwhile, joe biden could have been asked a question like, hey, during those three primary debates in february that went on for two hours, you didnt mention coronavirus once or super tuesday in march, big night for joe biden, 12 minute acceptance speech, didnt mention coronavirus once. Yet joe biden is saying if the president did his job, there would have been no deaths from coronavirus which is a ridiculous statement because i guess that means the 175 other countries that have leaders are also responsible for every death that happened in their country. Yeah, this was a bad night for cnn, and it shows you why during these debates in 20 for the first time 2020 cnn will not have somebody moderating the debates. Theres a reason why, they simply dont have any objective journalists left there anymore, elizabeth. Elizabeth well, now theres a fear that biden may not be ready to take on trump at the debates. You know, heres the other thing, Anderson Cooper downplayed a biden flipflop saying, quote, it sounds like to some you were trying to have it both ways on fracking. Critics say it doesnt just sound, quote, like sounds to some. Watch him flipflopping on fracking. Watch. Would there be any place for fossil newels, including fuels, including coal and fracking in the Biden Administration . No. We would work it out. We would make sure its eliminated and no more subsidies for any one of those. Anybody who can go down 3003,000 feet in a mine sure as well can learn how to program as well. Give me a break. Anybody that can throw coal into a furnace can learn how to program for gods salk. Salk sake. Im talking about stopping fracking as soon as we possibly can so am i. Well, im not sure your proposal does that. No more, no new fracking. Elizabeth okay. Heres the question you would ask a candidate. Are you saying no to fracking early on because you want to raise money from the green energy groups, and then youre flipflopping because you know stopping fracking will slam voters jobs when you hit the campaign trail, thats why you flipflopped. Thats the question, right . Thats what tim russert, who i had tremendous respect for, would do. You read back the candidates own words. Those words you just played with Bernie Sanders was march 15th, no new fracking. July 9th he says also fracking is not going to be on the chopping block. Then september 1st he says, let me say that again, i am not banning fracking no matter how many times donald trump lies about me. Then just yesterday he says fracking has to continue because we need a transition. Oh, okay. No, you need votes in pennsylvania because if joe biden loses pennsylvania, probably a good chance because thats basically his home state that hes not going to win the election. This is all about flipflopping, saying one thing during the primaries to appeal to the far left and then something very different during the general because hes trying to pivot back to the center, and if we had a media that would actually call him out on these things, that would have been exepossed on national television. I would hope that Chris Wallace during those debates now only 12 days from now in cleveland, joe biden will not be able to get away with what he did last
