Fears Clare Businesses Will Be "Wiped Out" Before Year End Without Additional Supports

An Ennis Café owner fears a considerable number of businesses will be wiped out before year end, if additional supports aren’t put in place.
The government is due to announce its plans for easing COVID restrictions through June and July on Friday, which will include indoor hospitality, international travel and live entertainment.
There have been calls for indoor dining to return by July 1st but Taoiseach Micheal Martin has ruled this out.

Frank Landy of Sweet N’Green says urgent clarity is needed on when businesses in the sector can re-open their doors and he says if it doesn’t happen before August his and many others won’t survive.
